The thing is who knows what the fook is going on with the rags, one minute no cash, then they have, who the fuck knows who owns them or if they have got a secret sugar daddy throwing some cash in.

I kind of suspect all the top clubs have taken around a season or so to study the Financial Fairplay rules with their legal eagles, and have come to the conclusion there is enough leeway (loopholes or points to argue in their defence) to spend pretty much as normal. Arsenal have hinted at a spending spree, same with the RAGs and Chelsea, Liverpool seem to be spending above their Torres fee too.

According to Talkshite, Aguero is on his way to Juve - WTF?

Sergio Aguero is set to snub a move to Chelsea and Manchester City and finalise his transfer to Juventus.

Aguero, 23, was tipped to make a move into the Premier League after telling Atletico Madrid that he wants to leave the Spanish club.

Real Madrid were also strongly linked with the prolific forward, but they look set to switch their attentions to Brazilian hot-shot Neymar.

Reports in Italy suggest that Juventus have now won the race to sign Aguero and hope to announce his signing in the near future.

The Italian giants are believed to have met the £40m buy-out clause in his contract and are now looking to agree personal terms with the Argentine striker.

The news will come as a major blow to Chelsea and Manchester City who were hoping to land a big name forward during the summer and felt Aguero would be the ideal signing.

Why would he leave Atletico to go to a club who are not even in the Europa league next season? And where have Juve found £40m from??!!

Moggi is back on his tricks again.

FFS, this Sanchez thing is going out the roof. 30 million for a player that has 3-4 games in Europe and in his entire career and who played well in an italian league where (i'm sorry to say) the fixing game stuff is still in the books.
I think Sanchez is playing at multiple ends, he and Udinese are trying to rip us , Inter and Barca, simple as that. So fuck him, at this moment we are the most stable financial club in world, pe are in the best league in the world and we play in UCL, what more they can want?

I thought that most of the Serie A clubs (apart from Inter) were struggling to compete in the transfer market. In recent years AC Milan have been a lot more prudent with their spending and Juve haven't made any big signings for a few years either. Added to the fact that they haven't been in the Champions League for a few seasons I am surprised to learn that they have suddenly come across all this money

Anyway, money aside, I can't see why Aguero would choose a club in decline such as Juventus, who play in an inferior league, over us and Chelsea - madness!

Or maybe it's just journalistic rubbish that us and Chelsea were actually in for him!

I've never understood this argument. What's wrong with a player and club maximising their position? Together they've made Sanchez' career and they deserve to reap the benefits. Nothing wrong with a bit of media play to up the bidding - multiples clubs are clearly interested and there's still, what, 2.5 months left in the window?

Not singling you out mate, just never got it. Countless times I've seen the board slate a player for weighing up his options when, right now, everyone's saying we should set our price for Boateng and tell Bayern (a rich club in a good league who'll play in the UCL) to fuck off if they won't meet it.

I fully agree with you mate. OF COURSE they are trying to get best possible price for their best player. And if no one matches their valuation then they can keep him for another year or six months. IF he does it for another season he'll be even more in demand in future. Right now he has only year or year and a half top quality production in slowest (top quality) league in the world.

Which brings us to why I'm not exactly buzzing about this (nor am I heavily against it either..... in Bobby Manc we trust). In Italy you get so much space in to do pointless step overs in middle third of the pitch that you really can't compare it to England. Maybe he'll be success, maybe not but so far I'm not 100% convinced.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I think is normal for a player that confirmed something in the past to maximise his position, but for a young player who had one and a half good season, this attitude is disturbing. For me, if i was in his shoes and Barcelona contacted me, well...i think i was pissing myself from the emotion. Sanchez for the moment is only a rising star, we can expect high demands from Iniesta, Xavi, even Modric, because the confirmed their value.

For me, Sanchez wants an absolute regular spot in the first eleven and a lot of money (this part i think is not a problem for us), this is why his transfer is put on hold. As we all know, Bob does a rotation system, that is annoying, but necessary and maybe that is what Sanchez doesn't like. But Inter does it too, even Barcelona in some ocassions. IMHO

I want him, but is disturbing the way these players and agents act. After the Tevez-Kia crap is better to think twice before signing a player, even though he is class.

Can't disagree with any of that. And yeah, I'd be thrilled if he signed but I've the same reservations as you and NQDP on this one. Big question marks over any player coming from Serie A.

Not sure why he'd drop down to the Championship. 12 or so goals from midfield last season in the league, same sorta statistics as Charlie Adam who is on the verge of a £10mil move to liverpool?? Very strange
