Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

The Sun newspaper has today issued the following apology in relation to an article written earlier this summer. The Club will donate all damages awarded in this matter to the Manchester New Children’s Hospital appeal.
MANCHESTER CITY FC AND SHEIKH MANSOUR A report on 16 July stated that Sheikh Mansour, owner of Manchester City FC, had given a number of players watches worth £168,000 when he met them at a reception in Abu Dhabi.
We now understand that the report was incorrect. No such gifts were made and Sheikh Mansour was not present. We are happy to set the record straight and apologise for any embarrassment caused.

I saw that and had a feeling of deja vu. Didn't they already apologise?
Are they so sorry they feel the need to aoplogise twice?
Anyway, page 10 is a bit of a snub as it must be as far as its possible to be from either the back page or the front.
sun bastards

That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

Sadly this will not honestly make any different. Their papers will still be full of shite day after day.
Was nice to see the club taking action against them tho.

They'll soon start to learn that you can't keep writing incorrect articles on royalty. Just like they have turned their back on a failing old red party which has had power for the last decade or so they'll also soon turn their back on a red team and start bigging up the new blue team in town when we start winning. The Sun never backs a losing side. In that respect they are a bit like Italy the amount of times they change sides.

The only way it ever stops is if we have the balls and professionals to take the legal action and see it through - just do 3 or 4 of these rags and do them properly and the rest will think before they print

Think it was when they said he went on strike at Ham so that he could get a move away. I think I read one paper tried to settle with him but he told them to shove it and see you in court.

Bellamy sues every newspaper for liable when they print wrong articles about his character. He then donates the court winnings to his African Charity.
There was some debate about it on this forum, I believe, as he even sues the small local newspapers which forces them to sack staff members or close down as they can't afford the court costs. I think one poster was a friend of someone who worked for one of those local papers.

Tough shit then they should get their facts right, if i made bullshit up in my line of work then i'd fully expect to lose my job. if your a lazy little fucker at work then you don't deserve the job at all, give it to someone who will ensure the best at all times. Same goes for journalists as well.
Bellamy seems to be on top of this and ensures his charity benefits from lazy and lying journalists, good on him. As for the Sun, well, they've always wrote shit about us so it's good to see City fighting back and Manchester Childrens Charity benefitting from their lies.

Children's hospital must be doing OK. No wonder they want the Tories in they need the tax cuts!
