Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

So it seems Avram is getting the bullet just after today's game, and MON brought in. Wonder if Oliver Holt in the Mirror will have anything to say about that then? I doubt it.
However ruthless it seems I believe it is the correct decision for West Ham, and I'm sure he will get duly rewarded. Currently West Ham stand a good chance of going down, which would kill them off. With MON I just cant see it happening, he always makes players over-achieve (as Villa are finding out now!)
It's all very well these 'expert pundits' saying clubs should stick with their manager, because for every Taggart there are about 25 or more Alan Balls and Frank Clarks.

I know they got tonked the other week but he's actually turned them around lately.
Also, nobody seems to reference his lack of "enthusiasm" when his team scores whereas where our Mad Maz is concerned it's a different kettle of fish.....ho hum

Avram Grant is nothing more than an average manager. He won't inspire the last little bit to win a title or the extra leg mentality for a dog fight.
Give him a mid table club and he'll keep them there. Average Grant would be more apt.
Tracking back is overrated.

Very difficult to know whether Grant is good or bad because he's never around long enough to find out. A fire & brimstone, bullshit merchant like ONeil would be a good shout for fighting a relegation battle, if there are any truth in the rumours.
If it's true, will ONeil get the same shit from the press that Bob got for taking Hughes' job? Somehow I doubt it.

Couldn't give a toss about grant. I want whu to stay up , they're a good club and if they stay up perhaps one of the scouses might go. Besides, we ain't heard from walmai recently, so I hope he hasn't topped himself yet!

I don't think sacking Grant is the answer. Yes he is dour and unanimated, but so fucking what. He had the ability to do what Mourinho never managed with Chelsea and still got sacked - i'm sure he is just seen as an easy target by chairmen to deflect the flak from the bigger problems within the club.
WHU have the ability to finish above Wolves and WBA at the very least, and this is the time of year when at least one side goes into a terminal tail spin. The likes of VIlla, Liverpool and WHU have the experience of winning vital games, wheras maybe Newcastle and one or two others will be sucked in as the month progresses.
West Ham seem to have been on a decent run of late, and sacking a manager who is on the verge of a League Cup Final would be ridiculous......oh, wait....

I like Grant and don't think he should be sacked. Even so, at least this gives him more time to allegedly frequent some of his alleged favourite haunts.

You're right, I only mentioned grant cos we haven't heard from walmai for a while. Grant isn't doing a bad job with the players available and the resources. I think if we took Parker of their hands, the would go down though.

Parker's turned in some great performances for them but equally, looks completely out of his depth in parts sometimes against decent sides. Strange player.

Senior West Ham exec says it's not true.
So he will be gone after the game then ;)
