Leicester have signed Yakubu on loan until the end of the season. Permanent transfer a possibility after that. What a great signing for a Championship side and what a squad they're assembling for a promotion push.

Full name: Yakubu Aiyegbeni
Date of birth: 22 November 1982 (1982-11-22) (age 28)
Place of birth: Benin City, Nigeria
Height: 1.83 m (6 ft 0 in)
Must be pushing 40 years old I think by now.
I hope Leicester do not overspend on wages and get themselves into a blackhole of debt.

He's definitely got goals in him though. Some of the Premier League strugglers must be kicking themselves for missing out on this one. Could've done a good job for Birmingham or West Ham in my opinion. Even Liverpool could've used him to be fair.

I'll be surprised if he pulled up any trees, even in the championship.
Can't go wrong with a loan deal though, mate. Might've even been a decent stop-gap to replace Miller at Rangers if that goes through.

No sir, you are not alone. In fact, I'm surprised the Yak went for it. Surely he could have gone to a bigger club.

I think it's excellent. He's a hit & miss player at Prem level but when he performs at his best he's as hard to play against as just about anybody.
I wonder if Everton have got a striker lined up? If not they must be totally, hopelessly fucking skint as Saha is a top player but a sicknote & they've nobody else. We should bid shit money for one of their players just to wind up Gollum.

Yakubu is deadly striker. He is also fucking lazy and has long spells of not scoring. However I predict he will score tons in Championship. He has always been extremely opportunistic striker and those chances will fall to him consitently in that level.
As said, I'm quite surprised none of the Premiership strugglers went for him and I have to say that Sven is working his magic again.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Over a period of 3 seasons he was only outscored in the premier league by thierry henry, thats some record. On his day the guy can be unplayable. Great signing for leicester

Nope, I agree with you. Everton desperately need a striker though so its a bit of a weird one.

Nope, neither can Dzekp as neither were registered with City or Leicester when the draw was made.
