Fingers crossed for the next 14 hours but was happy to see this:

"Certainly our programme is a full one, but as a player and as a manager I've always felt that there is only one way to go into a season...and that's to try to win every game.... While we are in four major competitions we shall try to win four major competitions." - Joe Mercer

They're going to give it to fuclin Qatar. If it's not USA though, I'd be happy with Australia.

You guys have already hosted one. Someone elses turn. The southern hemispheres where it's at.
Attack the argument of the person, not the person of the argument- except Carl.

Man time flies, seems like only this year it was in the Southern Hemisphere...

And in 4 years as well...that's the Southern Hemisphere sorted.
Honestly I think an Australian World Cup would be brilliant and I'd be rooting for them if I weren't so greedy.
Anyway, did anyone actually watch the video? I wasn't joking about the bid being endorsed by a blue.

A US World Cup would be amazing. Looking at the current spate of American Football stadia and the fact that the sport has come on so much since the last time, would be class.

i saw it. i thought it was a really well-done vid. Top stuff. i got misty. I hope we get this fucker. Qatar plans to spend 55B on infrastructure and then re-purpose all of their stadia to developing nations after the WC? sounds like a potential disaster in the making tbh.

90% of the Qatari presentation seemed to be about air conditioning. The US and Japan have also had it before (and fairly recently too).
Skirted around most of the lead up but feeling quite nervous about it now.
