MALCOLM ALLISON - REST IN PEACE

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I'm too young to remember City winning anything of significance, but's it's the legacy of those like Malcolm who give me reason to be so proud of the history of this great cub. Thanks for everything - gone but never forgotten.

Malcolm Allison was such a unique and charismatic individual that I thought he'd live forever. Here was a man who blessed the world of football with insightful wisdom; I like thousands of Blues the world over am eternally grateful for the time you spent with us Big Mal. Rest in Peace safe in the knowledge not many will surpass you.

RIP Big Mal.

Ignoring what them lot down the road have done, but I do hope we have some kind of statuettes of Mercer, Mal, Bell, Lee and Summerbee knocking about the ground some day.

We do seem a bit short on tributes to Joe and Big Mal, especially seeing as they gave us our best era of success ever.

RIP Mal - way ahead of his time, but time caught up later.

Had the pleasure of meeting Big Mal once, his grandson joined the junior team I was coaching for a short time and he came down to watch a session once. He was looking a frail back then (7 years ago), but he still had a massive presence about him.

R.I.P. Malc.

My sister just reminded me of the time Joe Mercer was stopped for speeding on Princess Parkway.

Joe said " Blimey ! What's Malcolm done again ? "
"Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs."

Our club was hopeless and helpless in Division 2 when Joe and Big mal arrived. They gave us belief and then success in such a short time.
A huge influence on my youth...God Bless Mal....Rest In Peace.

Express my condolences to the whole family of the Blues for the loss of the Legendary Manager and Coach, Malcolm Allison, passed away Friday.

5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

Remember him at Blackpool tomorrow. Shouts of "Malcolm, Malcolm" before and throughout the match. So sad he didn't live on to see City successful again. RIP now.

Same thing, I can't believe it. Truly. I was just watching an old City documentary where he was talking about Joe Mercer and Maine Road. He was one of a kind and a character beyond description, the Fedoras, the cigars. He always viewed his City years as his greatest accomplishments and I will never forget the story about how he inspired our lads against Liverpool!!

I expect there will be a moment of silence at the match and you all to chant his name!!

We will never see his like again. Too Sad.

Just gotta say, it was a good old age and he did enjoy himself having a full life.

Just out of interest, did the rags have a minute's silence like the one we were made to have when Best died?

Think Mal would have loved watching them doing that and would have rubbed their noses in it for doing it too.
