Inter's Mario Balotelli Anxious To Join Manchester City & Deal Will Happen - Agent Mino Raiola
Agent says deal will happen, despite a minor hiccup in negotiations...

The message is clear from Mario Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola: the striker is desperate to join Manchester City and he is working overtime to make it happen.

"Mario is anxious to find an agreement," Raiola told Sky Sport Italia as he returned to Milan from Manchester following the latest round of talks with City.

"While there is hope there is life. Mario is tranquil, but anxious to reach the agreement. This is normal for a 19-year-old. We are working and hoping."

Reports claimed negotiations were choked over Balotelli's wage demands. La Gazzetta dello Sport believes City are offering €3.5 million per annum, but the striker wants at least €3.8m.

There are no problems, it seems, between City and Inter, who have reportedly agreed a €30m transfer which could potentially rise to €35m with performance-related bonuses.

And it's only a matter of time until the move is concluded. As push comes to shove, Raiola is confident a deal will be rubber stamped.

"We are in a delicate phase of the deal, but I am continuing with my work. It could be long, but in the end it will be done," he added.

Some extreme reports claimed the deal was drowned and unable to resurface, but the reality is that Inter, City and Balotelli all hope for a positive conclusion.

I like the fact that this lad really wants to come to City. After all, Mourinho's gone so he'd probably get games for Inter & easily get a transfer to another top club in the future. He must really fancy the idea of working with Mancini again & 'the project' etc.

Come on lad, give the fat twat of an agent a great big kick up the arse & let's get it done so you can play v Valencia.

Given his situation with Milan and the fans there is very little negative for him to move to City. I think Ancelotti put it quite well, that Mancini is the guy who brought him into the first team and so not only does he know him he must also respect him and be in a way forever grateful, also there is virtually no racism in the prem, so he is coming to a much better environment. His game is probably suited to the prems physicality.. so in a way these are major positives.. he is shedding stuff that is holding him back or playing with his head to come to something that is going to back him and let him get on with it free from shit.

People talk of marquee signings, but imo players like this guy.. are way more interesting and valueable than taking gambles on Etos, Kakas, Robinhos and their like.
The Club has to learn as much as anyone else and perhaps they are, but with patience we may well see this guy selling more shirts than Kaka and Robinho combined in 3-5 years time.

Given what Ancelotti has said, I hope the delay is not due to Chelsea coming late to the table!

FC Inter news

Balo, agreement reached with the City. Now Raiola and Inter deal discount
Here's the latest on this issue SuperMario

There's important news on the situation of Mario Balotelli. As reported by Sky Sports, very few ended the meeting in which you spoke yesterday between Mino Raiola, Marco Branca and the lawyer Rigo legal Balotelli. The three parties are updated and, paradoxically, the situation is completely changed compared to what happened yesterday: Manchester City have indeed found the same day the agreement call for engagement with Raiola SuperMario, based on net to 3.5 to 5 years' years and then going to meet the demands of the number 45 almost ex-Inter. But now, to close the deal, discount, call the Citizen also quite important because Raiola has delivered in this summit with Inter represented by Branca bid slightly lower than the City, more than 26 million bonus, so no more the 30 plus bonus fixed in Emanuele had accepted.
The news said that the meeting between the parties still went pretty well, though not enough to permit the closing of the agreement but surely this question to find the discount between Inter Milan and Manchester City can slow down time. The news could still arrive early to get more. We will update you in real time on each lapel.

So apparently so long as they get their lapels sorted we are in?!

Emphasis has shifted on Inter and Manchester City in the deal for Mario Balotelli after the player agreed personal terms. And now it's down to the clubs to agree on a new transfer fee: €26 million plus bonuses.

Sky Sport Italia reports Mino Raiola, the player's agent, and a lawyer working on Balotelli's behalf met with Inter director Marco Branca.

Raiola informed the transfer director that his client has agreed personal terms with City, believed to be worth €3.5m per annum over five years.

However, City have changed strategy, and they are offering Inter a lower transfer fee.

Previous reports suggested the clubs had agreed on €30m plus bonuses which could take the deal up to €35m in total.

Now City are offering €26m plus bonuses, €4m shy of what Inter were hoping to receive.

But despite the latest change, voices from the Nerazzurri camp are optimistic and a deal should be concluded within days once Inter agree on a final closing fee with City.

Earlier Raiola said he was "hopeful and working towards closing a deal with City".

It depends on whether a suitable deal for all sides can be found, otherwise he'll be in the squad. The thing about Robinho is, he's such a non-personality that there's just as much chance of him arriving in Manchester, telling everyone he loves them & can't wait to play for City, then as soon as he's back with Brazil's team, saying he wants to move there etc etc. He seems, on the whole, to just tell the people around him exactly what they want to hear. Now he's in Brazil, he 'loves' Santos but he was 'loving' Barca etc as soon as he was away from Brazil for a few weeks & even mentioned a possibility of Real Madrid!

I'm not going to give him shit if he plays for City & tbh I could see him fitting in with these new players. He is a complete utter WANKER though, whatever he does.

Until he realises his attitude is all wrong he will never be the player he thinks he is or wants to be. It is a shame but until someone sits him down and gives him a good talking to it ain't gonna change. One word springs to my mind..

Read this comment from a guy who I assume lives in Italy.Im not fucking surprised that Balotelli is pissed off and has an attitude -

You English people obviously don' t know anything about the Italian situation.
Balotelli in Italy is constantly racially abused by the supporters during every match for 90 minutes because he' s black.
The supporters sing things like "a black Italian doesn' t exist" and other racist chants so how do you expect a 19 year old kid like Balotelli can react ?
Inter supporters are one of he most racist in Italy.
In Italy there' s a lot of racism against black players not only against Balotelli(ask to Paul Ince, he had the same problem when he played in Italy) that' s why there are very few black players in the Italian league.
In England there is not the racism problem so he wil be ok, he will mature and within some years Balotelli wil be on of the best players in the world.

Not surprising he has a fucking attitude really is it?

Maybe somebody here doesn't know that Mario was born in Italy from Ghana relatives who left him immediately in the hospital of Palermo. He stayed there for two years then a family from Brescia named Balotelli adopted him. Mario grew there like a true son of them. At the beginning of his carrier Juve much more than Inter fans treated him rustly because of his silly pantomimes everytime he touched a ball. Premier League and expecially city of Manchester is in my own opinion the ideal destination for this lad to show all his wonderful talent

Inter fans seem to deny that they give him abuse but he definitely gets it elsewhere. It must be fucking difficult to just get on with the game under those circumstances & not lose it. Don't understand why UEFA don't use sanctions against clubs who can't stop these wankers from doing that. It's just not on that someone should have tp put up with that shit.

Tbf, in the case of Paul Ince though, he probably just got abuse for being a cunt.
