OK, risking a kicking here, but, over on bluemoon a poster reckons we've signed Schweinsteiger, as city have just added him onto their mobile phone account. Wouldn't usually post something i read on there, however, this guy has accepted a £50 bet from someone who said it was bullshit. I'll leave you to go read it if you want, but not much more detail than that.

Would be a fantastic signing if true, as him and toure in midfield would be a bit more mobile than de jong and barry.

You're probably right AC, (wondered if it was you), however, not sure why anyone would do it either way. If it's true, he's probably facing the sack. If not, he's still probably facing sack for announcing about City's account. It's one so odd, I'm inclined to believe it. It would also tie in with the cook/ng conversation about signings to blow you away, as this would definitely be in that camp

The article makes me think it's more of a wind up. I'd heard nothing about schweinsteiger till this claim, so it seemed a bizarre one to make up. However, if he'd seen the article first, it might have sparked the idea of a wind up.

Roll on sept 1st, when we can just concentrate on complaining about dzeko/torres/ibra (delete as appropriate) not tracking back.

There has been nothing new on Dzeko for weeks now, all the quotes yesterday are just a re-hash of an interview he gave a while ago now

Can any of our German residents confirm whether the German press has been saying anything new on him/his future this week???

Schweinsteiger is class, would love for it happen! especially if it stopped us spending 30m on milner.

Well - given a choice between Schweinsteiger an Milner - I guess we would not need a poll!!

What a position our owner has put us in to have such choices!!

I think that Schweinsteiger would be an outstanding signing

Probably just my old / typical CITY mentality but I just have this indigestion feeling that we are going to sign some 'fading star' that is big publicity - e.g. Beckham, Henry etc

Blue Mong is in a tizz that we will be signing someone today according to one of their reliable Derek Acorah types...

EDIT: Who the fook is Tolmies Hairdoo? They hang onto his every word!
