It's a Northern thing Jimbo ;-)

If you're from more North than Langley in Middleton then I'll kick John68 up the backside when I next see him.

Hi Garry,I just wanted to shake your hand and ask you a question.I go to COMS as mucha as possible but sometimes I cannot leave the house as Sophie.....sorry..Sophie is my Cat...... needs a carer when Im away and sometimes I cannot find one.
My question is ; Is it possible to bring Sophie to matches at COMS in her kitten box and can she come in for free?

I know a few people who call it Footer, which I thought wierd, it was Togger when I was a bin lid.

Anyway, with regard to KKs opener, I'm actually enjoying it. Yes there are some dire games which I wondered why I watched, but then you get certain games, even 0-0, that I've really enjoyed. I suppose it's doen to the individual.

I think if England had done better than they have then I'd have enjoyed it even more, because I'd be able to relate the top teams to ours and wonder how we could do things to beat them. Hopefully we'll show our real class soon and the comp will become what I've expected it to be.............England as a contender.

Togger is an expression I still use on a regular basis.
I'm not further North than Langley. I'm from proper Manchester, the Blue Heartlands...Didsbury. Which also makes me frightfully posh.

I've just done a search of the word "footer" on the forum and it brought up 30 hits. Predominantly describing Players as a "left footer" so not in the context you use it.

Asded hurby momi ty.

The people who carn't apprieciate the quality of the entertainment being served up and come out with BS like the teams in this WC are shit and the weakest need to stop living in cloud cuckoo land and dreaming the Prem is some wonderful thrill a minute show that it will be a relief to get back to.
We are getting proper footy everday.

Well, pretty much everyone was finished with Pearce when he went and there was barely any vocal support for the sacking of Sven. I can honestly say that Hughes caused more of a schism than any other Manager in recent years. I thought the vitriol for Keegan was bad...

I love Mick McCarthy... he called Serbia's goal keeper "a big tard" when he tried to get Schweinsteiger booked hahahahahaha....

Have to say the World Cup is getting better now, I guess Portugal trashing North Korea 7:0 helped as well.
so now as every enemy circles our city

Hmmm, this thread about Proper Football seems to have turned into yet another World Cup Thread.

Maybe I should come back in a few weeks to talk about City?

The Moderators need to do a better job when they're trying to tell us what to say and when.

Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
