Ireland and Shaun have been well off the pace. At least Shauny got some joy there at the end of the half. I think both of them look knackered.

We are awesome at the back. We only gave them 1 half chance in the first half. Very impressive and we've being tactically superb, well worth our lead. Top marks again to Hughes so far. Arsenal haven't had a sniff.

BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Eastlands: "Manchester City have taken real heart from a goal that came against the run on play."
Against the run of play?
Not sure what game he's been watching.

Top marks to Hughes so far and also Toure as captain for keeping the players on their toes and organisational work.
"Like all bullies, they've just found out that there is a much bigger guy in town, someone who is richer and more powerful than their worst nightmare. And this smiling Arabic assassin is intent on stealing all the treasures they've nicked off everyone else, and pulverising them into commercial and footballing oblivion as he does so."

Still giving the ball away too cheaply at times - Shaunny struggling confidence wise - can see Weiss getting a run - depends coz we need our trackers to run their nuts off for 95mins today - wouldn´t be surprised to see Sylvinho on as well at some stage - great stamina for his age
