Well, there's one of my predictions come true. That was fucking awful from Gerrard.

Gerrard doing his best to ensure the scum don't take Liverpool's record just yet. Well in Drogba.

Can anyone tell me what was the difference between Lucas' challenge on Kalou to that of Belletti's challenge on Gareth Barry? How can you have the same ref with a different interpretation?

I think Kalou is his own worst enemy. He dives a lot and refs just then assume he has dived hence no pens given. I think he actually tripped himself on this occasion.
What I don't get is why he ain't been booked yet surely Wiley thinks he is diving??

When you look at it again, Kalou's leg is caught by Lucas (only slight) which causes him to hit the back off his other leg. He stumbles and then Lucas steps on the back of his heel. You're probably right about the diving bit but like you say, if the ref thought there was no contact then surely he would've had to give the yellow for a dive.
