There is a lot of merit in what you write crossie.

One can never read enough , review what has been read and said.
Elsewhere it has been pointed out countless times that ffp was introduced by the red cartel to try to stay at the top.

If i have a company and win loads on the lotto, i can put that money into the company and there would be nothing to stop that company , say ,buying wigan fc for example ( bit far fetched i know). The company is subject to laws of the land first and foremost. So how come the PL can bother to come up with some flimsy rules that don't even reflect the laws of the land and free market competition ?

The point about the media and these ex player jerks from the rags and scouse 2, is valid. I wonder how many books they read, how many periodicals etc.? The only recent player that has gone into further education i can recall is Kompany. You can bet that whilst in Germany he is reading in German to improve his communication skills .

Why should they bother ?
I think one reason is that more astute readers of the articles in the press can pick holes in what is written or can see the basic prejudice in the articles. The click bait journalism somehow manages to extract money from advertisers.

Gobber, Keane and Neville know this and are getting away with it.

The media outlets and these ex pros need to be humbled.

Spot on (welcome back BTW) and this shit is exactly what’s fucked society. You hammer the same bollocks long enough, slap some outrage on it, and the masses just swallow it up.
It’s the same with politics. Tell a repetitive lie often enough on the news and people will believe it. Doesn’t even have to be clever. Just say it every day, cut the awkward bits, and suddenly it’s just “what everyone fucking knows.”
That’s all they’re doing with City as well. Journalists (embarrassing to call them that), news, the whole fucking timeline — ramming one story down everyone’s throat so nobody clocks what they’re leaving out. Charges get screamed out left right and center, like the clubs already guilty. The actual case is slow and fucked up, so they bin it. Ask a question and you’re a stooge. Repeat the narrative and you’re a fuckign hero !!.
It’s not journalism in thew slightest It’s pick a villain and lie by repetition until it sticks. Politics does it 24/7. Football does it. City are just the cunts getting it for the foreseeable until the clicks start disappearing.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Correct

Sky even had a article about “why are City even bothering to appeal”

We have, and make no mistake about this, have already been found guilty regardless of the result of any appeal, in the eyes of the majority of the media and thus by incessant indoctrination, the public at large

How do we get out, even if we win? We leave, simple (or complicated) as that.

This. We are not stopping now. If the PL do not back down, we are going to do everything in our power to crush them. This will end with the PL trying to cop a deal from us - if this has not happened already or we will see a version of a super league again. Lets have it right, the PL has pandered to the cartel, the cartel don't think they can lose as they will throw the PL under the bus and look for another backer

Love this. Saw something yesterday saying we should not be able to exert political power over the outcome - ha, fuck that. Its okfor the media to push the agenda of the red cartel though I guess. You can see the exit strategy for the PL and it's supporters forming - loophole and political influence

I dont give a fuck what anyone thinks we should use all means possible to defend ourselves against the cartel league and their masses of media cronies.
We are facing a tsunami of bitter hate, lies, resentment and misinformation. Make no mistske they want to kill us.

One thousand % that if we are nuked and relegated the prem will end up changing the rules to now allow owners to put as much of your own money into your club as you like.

Fined and jailed for being in possession of marijuana and then they legalise it.

Great analogy, once City are out of the way the red carpets will be rolled out. Even with throwing huge amounts of money at say Newcastle, Villa, Spuds and others, I just cannot see any of them achieving anything like what City have done. You cannot buy success, you can buy good players for sure, but success is a whole other ball game and something we have done extraordinarily well.

I wish Nedum Onuoha had more exposure on the BBC. One of the most intelligent, collected and respectful contributors out there. A genuine and caring perspective. I hope he gets to play a role in the club in the future.

This is the best blow the PL can land, forever doubt.

They know it, they’ve done what they can, knowing we’ll eventually be found incident by a sensible process and court.

Hopefully it works.

I've watched several of these videos on Youtube from Typical City, I think he's called. I don't watch a lot of YouTube but he's bringing out videos every couple of days and I just want to recommend them to anyone who hasn't seen them. The guy is a city fan and I wouldn't be surprised if he is someone on here.

I'm not surprised any of this is happening all I know is that we should go down taking the whole lot with us, burn it down run it through the courts until they are bankrupt, use industrial espionage to get details on their accounts and sales, use and levy government avenues to put the PL and clubs back in their cages.

Stop being nice.

From some Newcastle fan page. There is some logical thinking out there, obviously biased, but makes those point about Ashley and the FFP bollox:

Man City are charged with putting too much money into their club, attracting some of the best players in the world and helping turn the Premier League into the biggest and most entertaining league in the world.

Think about how ridiculous that sounds.

A club investing heavily, improving its squad, competing at the highest level and making the league more attractive to broadcasters and fans is now something that needs to be punished.

But where was the Premier League when Mike Ashley spent years asset-stripping Newcastle United?

Where was the outrage when Newcastle were being dismantled, investment was being cut and the club was gradually reduced to an empty shell?

Where was the Premier League declaring Ashley an unsuitable owner or stepping in to protect the club and its supporters?

Nowhere.

Newcastle suffered for years and nobody seemed to care because we weren’t challenging the established order.

That’s why I struggle with the argument that this is purely about protecting the integrity of football.

If the system was genuinely about protecting clubs, supporters and competitive fairness, Newcastle’s treatment under Ashley should have mattered just as much.

Instead, it feels like the biggest problem only becomes a problem when the established clubs are threatened.

City challenged the status quo. Newcastle are now trying to do the same.

And when the same few clubs have dominated English football for decades, it’s fair to ask whether the real issue is financial rules—or who benefits from them.

Football should be about competition, not protecting the positions of the clubs who have already made it to the top.
