Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Women's FA Cup Final

Postby john@staustell » Sun May 31, 2026 2:01 pm

Nothing else to watch, so here we are.

City v Brighton

I've watched them 2 or 3 times but I don't know the players like I used to.

Still Hemp, Greenwood and Shaw are pretty familiar

City are champions, but I do know we lost at Brighton recently

Just seen this one. Signal is shite in the park. Managed to watch 5 mins in a queue then the VPN went off.

Sounds like they've not played well but still 2 up. Still a decent bench so I'd imagine they'll be changed soon

3 nil now. Fujino

The first half hour was all Brighton, City couldn't get out at all. But City started to assert, then scored, twice.

City looking good now at 3. I wouldn't discount more, as Brighton chase the game

Well done City Ladies, one more trophy than the Arse's men could manage!

Is this the first time a club has held all the FA Cups?

Men, women and youth?

City mens and womens won it both in 2018–19 The same year City got to the Youth Cup Final but lost on pens. Closest we've got I'd imagine.

Watched this today and was mighty proud of what they achieved. Worked hard and got through the first 20 minutes where Brighton did well.

After that, there was only one team and although I have criticism over the keepers in the women’s game, our keeper did very well.
