Personally thought it was funny as fuck, even to the point of laughing out loud at the time, then explaining the to Mrs that he was very likely to get twatted in the next tackle and watch it play out exactly like that.
From a tactical point of view, getting an Arsenal defender to react and take a card was brilliant shithousery, and shows just how far Arsenal are from having an elite mentality to stay disciplined in those moments. If they can be goaded so easily, it doesn't bode well for them in the run in
Said the same thing to the wife, he is gonna get fouled to fuck now.
On reflection, he allowed us to play out the final few minutes in relative ease with him being fouled at every opportunity.

Absolutely love it. As others have said, as long as you win and you do it in the right areas of the pitch its great.
No doubt at some point something won't come off and he'll end up with egg on his face - but if that does happen just have to suck it up and take your medicine.
I hope he never changes

Only been two players at City I've seen do things with a football and even with the benefit of instant replay and 30 different angles, I still don't know quite how they pulled it off. David Silva was one, Cherki is the other.
Cannot say this enough, he is going to win the Ballon D'or one day.

Just said to my mate - Cherki has the sh*t house behaviour of Bernardo and the technical ability of Dave ! - He's like a double Silva

Brilliant
It was and it was also a red card he saw red mist and deliberately tried to injure Cherki

Saw an interesting post last night elsewhere which made the very obvious point as to whether Neville and co would be getting their knickers in a twist if cherki had just walloped it back to the goalkeeper who would try to waste another minute the way Arsenal would have done.
Interesting point that he's getting pelters, yet the alternative, slow ponderous and anti-football approach is not so much celebrated, but at least accepted.

I thought that. Made no attempt at the ball and could easily be argued he endangered his opponent

Some knobhead Liverpool streamer just said with a straight face that he'd prefer Wirtz over Cherki.

Watched the game in a bar in Malaga. Some Irish kid said Haaland wasn't as good as Sesko. I told him to stop as he was embarrassing himself. Cannot help some people
