The time to move him on was last summer whilst we could still have got top money. After winning PotY in 2024 last season he really should have kicked on and maintained his form. Instead, for whatever reasons, he regressed. And barring 5/6 weeks earlier this season, he has very much lost his mojo and perhaps more worrying, is exhibiting few signs of getting it back

Agree with that mate. My son who has defended him over the past 2 seasons, said as we walked back, he’s gone. It’s an easy comparison but like it or not players Dele Ali, get to mid 20s 100 mill in the bank, Done. Grealish is the same for me, A few glimpses of what they were. I blamed him for the second. How he gets back? Not sure after 2 seasons, something is wrong here, burnt out, off the field issues. Sad to watch, but needs addressing.we can all see he’s not right.

I do wonder if he's struggling off the pitch. He's got 3 young kids at 25 years old, yes he's got a shit load of money to help him but the stress is still there. There were rumours he had to move house because his uncle was fighting in the street outside his house. All of this doesn't help.

That being said, if he doesn't improve the club will have to look at his position and whether it's best to sell him or not.

His drop off over the last two years has been astonishing for whatever reason. He has had more opportunities than his form warrants this season and has spurned every one he’s been given, I think he has very little chance of a World Cup selection. There was a glimmer a couple of months ago that he was edging back to form, but just a glimmer it was. Tragic really, a truly gifted player on the wane in his mid twenties.

I would like to keep him. I fully accept that he is not playing his bes. He's had issues off the pitch with family, having 3 young children etc but i think he has learn to put that lot to one side, mentally speaking . I think he'll come good again just needs to be played in his best position and with a midfield that can graft

Without any causal injuries to affect his performances it must be thought of as a complete disaster if we get rid of one of Englands best young players

This is something I’m still on the fence about. I believe he already benefits from a certain preferential status because he is “one of our own.” However, at the end of the day, we are a company, and we need to objectively assess whether he is capable of returning to his role. While the fact that he is one of our own carries weight, it shouldn’t ultimately influence the decision if circumstances in his personal life could make him a liability.

Mcatee had also 7 goals last season, but he was still shipped. Some might argue he was another that was our own.
I think we are way too obsessed with stats to see the bigger picture. They will never tell you the big picture.,

PFA Player, no doubt, but if he drags on, we keep him, the next two years he is going at this rate, are we going to still talk about that second part of the season when he was PFA?

I am not saying to fuck him off, I am also a bit biased because he is one of our own, but I wouldn't want to be in the shoes who will make any decisions about him. At the end of the day, he is a multimillionaire.
