Carl, you like all on here are a fan. You have not earned any right, except to give your opinion.Your opinion is as valuable or worthless as the next persons.

My own opinion ? I find it unnecessary for people to use foul language and derogatory words. That is just me.

Many have supported City from the fifties and early sixties. Going on about lower divisions ? How far do you want to go back ?

City have a fantastic setup , are financially secure and on a level with the top clubs in the world.

The manager has proved himself to be the best in the world. Currently the first team is going through a rebuild.

As is mentioned on the web sites header, politics has no place on the main forum. Yet people still include political references ! Are the all so dimm ?

There is a private forum for that.

Oh and if anyone is wondering why fewer newcomers register. Perhaps they don''t like the low life rhetoric , abusive and disgusting language that is sometimes used in publicly open topics.

Or perhaps it's fans calling other fans plastic that puts them off?

Reijnders was decent last night, first time we've seen him take a game by the scruff of the neck. I wonder if he's more suited to teams attacking us allowing us to counter?

Semenyo was steady again - a good signing.

Nico G back was a huge boost - he's quality.

Trafford saved us a fair few times.

Only negative was Foden (again) - didnt realise he was playing until he got taken off.

I don't know , is plastic offensive ? I mean it is made from oil isn't it . I can't recall ever calling any footy fan a ''Plastic". However i am pretty sure i have made reference to the word.

No he is not. Some remote fan making crude comments , really. These are cheap shots . Unnecessary.

We'll agree to differ. If he wants to start making political at rallies in between key games and during City pressers, i think he invites criticism. Calling him a twat is pretty tame

No it is not it is repulsive and unnecessary.

Missed it, but it seems again a game of two halves.
I understand it last night, you need to save fuel for a miracle over the weekend, but based on our recent spell, it adds to the fuel that the half-time talk is not right at the moment and it seems, somehow, demotivates the whole squad.

Congrats on reaching the final, nevertheless, but most likely will be the first time in a while where we are not the favourites.

Once again torn after a game.

On to Wembley so buzzing, but we cannot play in the second half of games. So frustrating

Zuri, you don't like foul language or 'derogatory words'? Tough shit, mate. Not getting offended by every little thing is part and parcel of life – especially in football. If a bit of industrial language on a forum upsets you, have a word with yourself. There's far worse – way fucking worse – getting belted out every single match day on the terraces and in the stands. So if that level of passion offends you, maybe stay indoors or watch it on the telly, for fuck's sake!
As for the club rebuilding? We all know the setup is world-class, but Pep could've fucking started that rebuild by recruiting a proper specialist right-back and left-back two years ago instead of inventing shit that clearly doesn't work half the time. Two years he's had to sort it, and looking at some of his signings... well, I'm not fucking impressed so far. 500 million spent as well!!

Final thought – if someone's opinion (no matter how it is formulated) upsets you, the forum's got a fucking block button for exactly that. Use it instead of whining about how some fans vent their frustrations. Real fans debate passionately so if newcomers cannot handle it, maybe this isn't their place to begin with – and they can go to other forums that have a dictator in charge deciding what can and cannot be posted

I don't need to have words with myself Carl, i wrote that i find it unnecessary to use foul language. I am not implying that you should not use foul language. That is your choice. Of course if i feel i need your advice on anything, i will certainly ask, i don't have a problem there.
At the moment i do not have any such requirement.

This forum, in it's third decade now, is built upon freedom of expression and only very limited censorship ( politics being the main one).
I find that great, but it is sometimes disappointing to see people hurling abuse, just because someone doesn't care for another persons opinion.

We have lost some great contributors over the years . It is great to see Slim back again ( although you might not agree) . As the forum ages and we all age, i thought bickering might have reduced. Still a lot going on though.

Free speech is why this place has lasted 20 plus years and still has teeth - long may it continue but if someone leaves the forum because they can't handle disagreement, blunt words, or some abuse flying around then that's on them in my opinion. This forum has always been full of strong opinions, industrial language, occasional fights. People who stick around learn to dish it back, brush past the shit, or they just grow a thicker skin. Those who eventually decide they "can't take it anymore" and leave? It shows they weren't built for this kind of place. Simple as that.

As for former posters who have deciding to return ? I'm always happy to see former posters return..no matter how many 'disagreements' I may or may not have had with them.

Funny that you should use the term "free speech".

People who drone on about "Free speech" almost always use it as a one-way street that protects the first speaker while looking to quash anyone who responds to or criticizes what is said.

When people respond to your posts, you act like your point of view is the only one worth defending. However, the moment people reply to criticize your post, the "free speech" defense is suddenly flipped—those replies are labeled as "attacks" or "censorship."

By prioritizing your "first speaker" status and policing only the responses, a simple fact is ignored: criticism is also speech. Defending your right to speak while framing your critics as a threat doesn't protect free expression; it just gives you a free pass to speak without rebuttal.

I think it's around 25 years old. I turned up in 2021 (or earlier) when the site had a different name. Threads were pure filth—funny as fuck, endless savage banter. Proper hilarious back then.
The site still has its good moments now, but as with anything in life, times change and society changes with it. What used to be banter suddenly becomes 'offensive' to the easily offended.

And yet it took you 3 months to give your brother the new link.

I cannot believe it's still going to be honest, and that SQL table under advanced search is still missing.

If only you knew someone who writes SQL for a living.
