Better record than us when we had a 9L2D1W run he’s on a 9L3W

Bust he's lashed half a billion into a title winning team. Don't think we did that.

Yes after the penny dropped that the squad was fucked.

And I sincerely hope we do the same next January.

See Gobber has changed his stance. A week or so ago he was very vocal in that the dippers are unlike every other club in Europe as they aren't a sacking club and they'll give plenty of time.

Now apparently he wants him sacked if they don't pick up 7 points from the next three games. West Ham away, Sunderland and Leeds at home. On paper all winnable. But so was Forest. So is he saying he gets sacked if they lose at West Ham as they could then only get 6 points?

I think he may have lost a few players in the dressing room and if that's the case it usually ends one way sooner or later

Did he ever possess the dressing room ? I thought that belonged to the ghost of Klippety-past.

Winning the league last year, I'd definitely say so. But then making so many changes it has undoubtedly changed things. It wouldn't surprise me if Gobber had the ear of a few of the older heads in the dippers camp, Robertson, Allison, VVD, Salah, Gomez possibly? And is maybe privy to things changing?

Certainly his view has changed radically this week or so and there must be an underlying reason for this

Have we put a few more nails in Alonso's demise?

Piss poor funny it seems all is lining up for Klippy in the summer. Arbeloa will pick it up until then.

He was a classy, super intelligent footballer and what we've seen so far is that he's taken that into management, albeit potentially with a level of drive and expectation/professionalism that's ruffling feathers with the prima donnas at RM - he won't be the last to be spit out by Real Madrid and go on to do great things elsewhere.

It would be good to see him leave and see if he can replicate what he did with Leverkusen elsewhere - if he can, with Real Madrid off the table, he becomes one of only a small number of potential contenders for us in the future.

Unfortunately if he does leave and Slot is binned, he'll end up there

Yeah I suspect if Alonso is sacked, Slot will go within days. Though given their current situation, there's also the argument they have not much to lose by bringing slippy in potentially til the end of the season to see how he gets on - with any luck he will have a Solskjaer like start, get signed to a long term deal then flop disastrously

I doubt anyone at FSG is stupid enough to employ Slippy. Especially as manager.

They will undoubtedly have one eye on the situation with Alonso. As I hope we are to be honest. I'd be happy for him to take over from Pep

Agree that Alonso would be a name we should be looking at. Would we tap him up now and have him sit on the bench with Pep and the team

I think Alonso is an overrated mesiah.
Some might argue he won the warmers league and chocked in the real final he had, Europa League vs Atalanta.

Name me another manager that's taken that title off Bayern Munich in the last umpteen years.

Kloppo. Not unbeaten, but did it two times on arguably a far better munchen side.

As I said " last umpteen years". You're going back to before the rags last won the league.
And the unbeaten bit is fantastic.
