Last season -
Pep refused to change his tactics
Made ridiculous subs during matches that ended up costing us
Forced Gundo in when it was clear his legs were gone

This season -
Haaland has carried us with goals
Cherki has come in and been class, despite Pep telling him to stop his flare
Foden has stepped up again

Hope that helps.

Wasn't me giving it the big one. You asked to meet up, couldn't understand why then and still can't.
It's " flair" by the way.

The fact you can't respond to the bits about this season and last proves everything

It's "shithouse" when you don't meet up after giving it big, by the way

Last season he had 3 shit months. I've said. We're partway through a rebuild and it's going well.
Still don't understand the " giving it big" what are you after, a fight to the death.
The fact you give him no credit for this season proves everything.

Pep has not told him to stop his flair. Pep has told him to do the simple things. Yes flicks and tricks look good for the highlights reel (when they come off). I agree with pep, you don't need to complicate a simple situation by doing something unnecessarily, you are likely to mess up more often than not. That's when we will all get frustrated with that situation, especially in the big moments when composure and simplicity is needed.

If we are cruising and it's in th final 3rd then yes, allowance can be given to let his creative side do some magic. Once the hard work is done!

Just my take on it.

He told him to do the simple things AFTER he'd had a MOTM performance by doing the simple things and giving us magic. In the same interview he said Savio was brilliant and would play loads. There was absolutely no need to say anything publicly that was negative related to Cherki. No need at all.

But man-management has never been Pep's biggest skill.

Do I want him gone? Not really. But do I think these wins have been down to him? No. Just my opinion

You've really got a bee in your bonnet about the comments re Cherki after the rabona. It was absolutely the right thing to say to keep his feet on the ground and if you look at his performances since it hasn't made him change and he is putting in the hard graft Pep requires from him.

Feels like we're all just arguing for the sake of it at the moment on here. The good and the bad is because of all of them the manager and the players. Sometimes it's more on Pep (fucking ridiculous selections) other times more on the players (Peps picked a team were all delighted with and then the players make stupid mistakes or miss a load of sitters).

I think we're quietly getting our mojo back this season, to be 2 points off top when we've been a pit hit and miss so far stands us in good stead for a strong second half to the season

I'm sure we'll win stuff when Pep goes, 100 poinys, 4 in a rpw, domestic treble, treble though. I doubt it

Stu mate, you're wasting your time fighting Peps corner when it comes to certain posters.

There are about half a dozen very voiceferous, very angry on here that have made their minds up and forcing their opinions on everyone else.

If they keep saying it long enough it has to be true.... problem is it has become tiresome, to the point of ridiculousness, that when they post in this thread, I see their name and scroll on past.

The topic needs changing to 'anger management, christ I need help & its all Peps fault'

Cue the angry anti pep crew, name calling me, you or anyone else who doesn't want Pep gone hey shit happens. Let them be angry, life is too short to be so angry....

I love Pep so much I bought a pillow with his face on, I've got Pep posters plastered all over my bedroom, one of them in his underwear.
I think the board were guilty not backing him, Poor Pep had to cope with shoestring budget every year, it was so bad he had to flog Palmer on the cheap to keep us a float. However he want out of his way against the board to keep Savio, Pep stood his ground this time. Lets face it, the board refused to buy him a right back, he was forced to convert a 53m midfielder into that position, poor Pep had to adjust because his tight arsed board wouldn't back him.His decision to play no DM in champions league final was magical and genius. I wish all fans understand that substitutions are only affective in the last minute or two not early in the game. Pep believes you must stick by your decisions even if they are wrong and the whole world can see it being wrong.

There you go Hants, copy and paste it, we shouldn't bother having an opinion based on what we see.

P.s to all angry posters, if you ever feel getting angry and about to express your opinion, please start licking Pep's poster to defuse and suppress your opinion/ emotions.

It's nonsensical mind boggling posts like this that make me think that some people are beyond help, or have a clear agenda.

Pep is not beyond reproach as he does get it wrong. He is not perfect, but the way some people post, you would think he was slur Alex in disguise. The lack of respect and acknowledgement of what he has done for us, the fact that he has brought us the teams and trophies of our dreams seems to hold no water with some.

The fact that this thread has the title it does when we are going very strong in all competitions is crackers. The fact that some posters are doubling down on their dumbass comments says more about them than anything else.

You're judging human characters from a football thread? When Pep retires, I'll praise him on his legendary success. As things stand and on recent form, he'll be judged accordingly. I don't doubt his achievements, I find it mind boggling when we're winning its all down to him and when we're shit, its the players and his pay master's fault.
Some of his decisions stem from stubbornness which irks many supporters. Just because you criticise, doesn't mean you dont back him and the team, every supporter is entitled to criticise his poor decisions

For me i started to become irritated with Pep when he was wearing that fucking horrible grey chunky cardigan . I just thought 'all these millions and you look a fucking mess'.
I'm glad he's ditched the cardigan but his constant gobbing on that touchline is disgusting and increasing exponentially as his frustrations grow it's a barometer for how well he thinks we're playing

What makes it fucking worse is how he swills it around first – then you see him rolling it on his tongue before letting it fly. It’s not just spit - it’s performative, stress-induced gobbing that ramps up when he gets all fuckign nervous - Ive even read articles that have gone full poetic about it, calling his spits “magnificent balls” that mirror his tactical obsession hahahaha seriously ! but it’s just fuckign disgusting and no one can defend it - No wonder it winds people up – it’s unhygienic, unnecessary, and makes you wonder if he does it at home too - probably accidentally gobbed on his ex mrs once too many times before she lost her rag.

To solve this issue, why not create a 'Pep needs to stay forever and ever IDST' thread and if you love Pep and can't criticise him and don't want to be angry and have a class life, then stay in that thread and people that want to judge him based on his performances can use this thread?

If it wasn’t for the handful of proper characters who’ve been here for fucking donkey’s years and actually keep the public entertained, this site would have died ages ago. All you’d be left with is the fucking rainbow clan along with their they/them/it pronouns, turning the whole place into a boring shithole -

You'll happily shower yourself in his gobbing if he pulls the treble.

I'd bathe in it if he pulls the treble. I'd even let him pull me off.
