Not sure a player has deserved a goal more than Nico G did today. I am so happy to be wrong about him and his turnaround has been magnificent. Another second season under Pep gem.

Doku on nights like that is literally the best winger in the world. 2-3 players at a time not getting near him against the champions who kept Madrid out earlier in the week. What a player.

Haaland give the penalties up, you don’t need them anyway you fucking legend.

That back 4/5 with Donna is perfect. Keep playing them Pep.
Tracking back is overrated.

Feel for Khus as he was playing well before the injury, but absolutely no way can Nunes be dropped at the minute. The guys looking good.

Donna has come in and given confidence to the defence - it also seems like he's been here for years, he's playing with a massive smile on his face. Really bizarre decision from PSG, but their loss.

He was in an offside position but that doesnt fucking matter these days. The question is whether he's actively involved in the play. He didnt touch the ball so did he interfere with our keeper? Not so clear cut, could have gone either way. If it was City i'd be arguing for it. So i'd still say we were smiled on from on high.

By ducking he interfered with play surely

Donnarumma had shifted his weight to his right and was diving to his left before Robertson ducked so wasn't saving it. The goal was disallowed on field and var didn't deem it to be a clear and obvious error by the letter of the law. I'd be pissed off it that had been given against us but after the shit they've gotten away with over the years against us, they're one team I'll never have any sympathy for.

Gonzalez shooting from outside the box, it goes in. Doku shooting from outside the box and it goes in. Hopefully we learn from this

Did Robertson have to take any action that affected the outcome of the goal?

It's that simple. Also I fucking hate this idea that offside is not offside because 'reasons'. I think if Robertson is standing on the far corner having a cheeky wank, the goal should be disallowed if any part of him is in an offside position, todger included.

I think all of this fucking around with the rules made the offside rule so complicated, when it actually isn't.

The bloke was in front of the gk, on the direction of the ball, by him dodging it also considers that he is part of the play, hence, interfering with it. If he was onside, he would knew and acted differently.
I can't recall one goal like that being allowed.

All the buzz in the media is because it was us versus them. Never heard complains when Trent the cunt played basketball in their box a few years ago, did not hear loony bin Keith Hacket coming out and ”fumming”.

So they can fuck off.

I am hearing so much about how Liverpool are shit and barely anything about how City played.

This is the defending champions and even a poor Liverpool side is still Liverpool and we ran roughshod over the cunts like they weren't even there. Also Erling, WHAT THE EVER LIVING FUCK? 4 of his last 5 penalties in the same spot and two were saved. So let's go for that spot again?

I've panned Nunes, almost constantly. Bloke is transformed. He has the bozo gene in his game, still, without a doubt, but his improvement is startling.

I wonder if Savinho can improve, too. Lol.

Doku was a circus act yesterday, totally unplayable, and O'Reilly was next level. So many pluses.

I'm still angry Tiatto's goal against Boro was chalked off because Huckerby was pretty much doing what you've said.

What a game that was, joy to be there. Atmosphere was unbelievable and Pep was like a man possessed on the touchline.
That's the best I've ever seen Doku play, heard a dipper say how Bradley was brilliant against Real Madrid- well he got terrorised yesterday and what a goal to cap it off. Both Nico's superb, O'Reilly had Salah in his pocket all game, never seen him so poor against us. Gonzales is getting better every week and this right back of ours- brilliant. What an assist as well. This team is getting better and better. It's got shades of the treble season this with Arsenal's lead and everyone thinking they had it in the bag. If we win at the Geordies next it'll be game on.

Carl's 60th on the same day as Pep's 1000th game in management on a day we stuff the scousers. That's poetic. Hope you had a great day and the same for all the other birthday posters and hopefully he'll still be here on your 70th.

I think Savio is improving too. Yet again yesterday he tracked back well and won a few balls back with strength, like he did against Dortmund.

His all round game is progressing.

He needs to improve his decision making, but he's only 21.

from an entertainment perspective, doku’s performance was one of the best i’ve ever seen from a city player in a single game. he was such fun to watch, so pleased that he capped it off with a wonderful goal as well. as ratboy said, he’s never given a motm award after 62 mins!

Loved that, the best bit was the bestest supporters in the world had all fucked off back to dipperland halfway through the second half.

Piss funny watching them all walk alone while making their exits.

Thanks for the shout-out )) —had an absolute belter of a day!
It’s still early doors, but yesterday gave fans like me genuine hope that Pep might finally be shifting his mindset. The players looked completely in sync, something we haven’t seen for a while, and the intensity was night-and-day compared to recent weeks. I really fucking hope this is the new standard and not just a one-off before we revert to type.
Only gripes - Gvardiol was shocking, gave the ball away at least seven times and put us under needless pressure. Cherki’s got to learn that you can’t be fucking around in possession in the Prem—lose it like that and you’re punished instantly.
Apart from those two, it was an A+ performance all round. If we take that level to Newcastle then I’ll really be thinking pep has changed his mindset and it wasn’t juts him tinkering.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"
