I can't agree. He wasn't just cold, he ran down blind alleys, final ball was terrible, goal scoring was crap. Completely the opposite this season
It shows a lot how important is to have someone who keeps an eye on him like Kolo is doing now.
What's Kolo doing with Sav then as he looks to have gone backwards this season.
He got 8 assists last season which is more than Doku or Grealish ever got.
Doku's been a revelation this season so far, Sav the opposite.
Savinho's performances is of a player that doesn't want to be here, if you ask me.
Don't blame the fella, it's on us this one. I don't know exactly what we wanted from Spuds, the valuation was very decent for him, we had an open door for Rodrygo because it is clear Alonso doesn't fancy him. We might be afraid of another Palmer situation?
It is the same thing with Donnarumma. We waited for Ed to go before getting him (or this is what we were led on). What would have happened if that would collapse and we would have been stuck with an unhappy Ed in goal?
What I don't get, going further, is why we were so stubborn to keep Sav, but let Alvarez go so easily (a player I did not fancy for wanting to go). Same situation, same desire to go, but different attitude from our part.
