Incredible how deluded the rags are. Joke and banter aside, they really live in the past. Why would Donnarumma, arguably the best goalkeeper in the world, would join a team like that?

"You buy this lad from Belgium. What's he cost €20m. I think that tells you everything about him at this point. It tells me he's (Senne Lammens) not a top goalkeeper.
As soon as that man (Gianluigi Donnarumma) became available, drive to Paris, go and get him, give him whatever he wants."
Paul Scholes tore into Man United’s goalkeeper recruitment

You cannot fault his sentiments. Said something similar last night, they are rotten from the top down, they have not been relevant for the best part of 15 years. They are now trying to mimic us and have even recruited some of our staff in an effort to get back in the game. They are soulless, without an identity. Sell as many noddy tops as you want in the far east (and even that has massively died off) until they find a touch of humility and realise the glory days are long gone, they'll stay where they are - possibly worse if they keep Ruben at the wheel. He's a classic example of the point. He said he wanted to see the season out in Lisbon. Now or never from the swamp hierarchy and look at the mess. No plan, no thought on forward thinking or due dilliigence with his set-up and their squad. All the while the Glazers continue to rape them financially. Fucking love it

That particular fiasco was caused by them thinking Pep was off, and we were looking to replace him with Amorim.
Probably another deliberate "leak" from City.

Brian Clough, who knew a thing or two, was probably the very best at creating teams, sometimes from pretty average players.

But he knew you needed key players and the first thing he did at Forest was buy Peter Shilton for a ludicrous 1 million pounds.

People thought he was mad, but he won them the league.

You need a first class keeper, one of the few exceptions being the great Leeds team, with Gary Sprake

Speaking to a rag on Friday at my daughter's training, he repeated Scholes and asked why United didn't go for him. I asked him if he realises that Donnaruma won the CL last season? And that United aren't even in Europe this season. What a step down that would be for him - might as well go play for Macclesfield

Wouldn't surprise me if the rags had made enquiries and were politely told to fuck off

Red nosed cunt Schemichael said this week he'd tried convincing Donna to go to United for over 12 months but he fucked him off. He said he asked him why he didn't choose United and he just replied, "I'm happy". Basically - mind your business you turncoat twat

If not for him, we'd have been 2-1 down before Martinelli went through. Not the greatest decision there, but should never have been allowed to get through on goal anyway.

The point is correct but the sums are wrong. Shilton cost Forest £250000, Trevor Francis was the first £1000000 player.

I think we broke the record a month later with Steve Daley.

This might sound outrageously off the scale and impossible under the current circumstances, I have a feeling we might pip Arsenal and vermins to the title with this signing.

I don't think it is. I watched the scouse for the first time this season on Saturday and they were hanging on against a poor Everton sise but they did win again. We very nearly hung on for all 3 points yesterday. If we keep a settled back line we will be thereabouts come the end of season.
