Not your favourite it's fair to say. He put a cracking ball in for Haaland in the first half that Haaland did not anticipate. As orhers have said, think this is a sign of the new coaching team, when we get the chance, hit the Viking early. Doku needs to adapt to this or he will be sitting out games

He seems to start quite well, but tail off very early, then turn to shit the longer a game goes on. Not sure if it's a fitness/stamina problem but if it is I'm sure someone can improve him. If not, it's bench time and impact sub when teams are tiring.

I was convinced Rico would start as I put on here, I didn't expect Oscar to but was delighted he did and yet again those 2 excel together .
Reminders was like a Rolls Royce, what a replacement for Kev, Stones was fantastic, loved England's Number 1, and that kick out for the 3rd was pure Ederson. Nico was very good, Haaland looking like he'll beat all records this season. Bernardo looked more like his old self, what a cameo and goal for Cherki. Only negatives were Dias and Doku.
Can't wait for Saturday

Can't argue with this. I think we rode our luck on a couple of occassions when bad passes exposed us to a break but hopefully we will learn from it

Had a decent game. I worry his lack of pace might go against him against pacy defences

I think he's one of those players who doesn't need the pace over a distance, what he has is an explosion of pace to get past someone, he's very very quick off the mark and given the skill that he has in tight spaces that is exactly what he needs. I see very big things for him....and yesterday an inch perfect assist and a beautiful pass to assist an assist and he made several good runs with the ball.

I think this should be make-or-break for him and Savinho. If we don't see something out of the ordinary, then both of them should be shipped. They have all the arguments this year, top rated staff, it's all on them

It's just one game but the signs are encouraging. Still worried about the right back situation. While Trafford did well yesterday we cannot go into the season with him as no 1 its too risky.

Not as risky as Ederson

I am not saying he's not good enough. I am saying he may not be experienced enough yet.
If he makes a few mistakes we all know the knives will be out. And that will be of no benefit whatsoever.

He isn't experienced that much is correct

But IMO he deserves the chance in the team to get experience. Remember, the lad wanted to come back here. And that wouldn't have been an easy decision for him so you can bet your ass he's got the balls and confidence to be a success.

Ederson is not the answer any more. He misses too many games for a start for knocks and illness. And Donnarumma is not the answer either.

Trafford is our boy, he's got all the skills a City goalkeeper requires, now he just needs a run of games and the backing of the management team and he will fly

I really don't think this is an issue, because in previous seasons the surprise defeats have come when teams get a quick break against us and it is often one on ones . Very difficult for any goalie , experienced or not.

I liked it that he would try and cut out crosses for once. Big Joe used to do that putting his knee up in the air too, just incase anyone thought of hitting him.

And hopefully a more structured midfield will reduce the fast breaks against us as well

Although Reijnders was a deserved man of the match. I just think that Cherki is that something special, almost Merlin like. Something about the way he moves, the way he covers all areas of the pitch and that cheeky close ball control.

It's going to be great watching these players develop together . Oh and young Oscar , soooo cheeky on the right.

No disrespect to Wolves but they have been kind to us over the years.

First 20 minutes I was thinking “here we go last season all over again, all the ball, opposition stands off and tries to beat our high press on the break.”

What has changed is the midfield now properly joins the attack and defence and we have the power and skill to go through the middle as well as playing accross 18 yard box. Last season we would stroke the ball from left to right with no end product or players would simply stop and slow play down for no good reason. Now we are keeping up the momentum and moving the ball quicker and forwards as well as side to side. Tiijani will have the Silva effect as when he gets the ball defenders will drop back which will allow more room for strikers, Aguero benefitted from this. Bobb reminded me of Kinky with some of his footwork and Lewis was superb as was Trafford for his debut. Defensively and against counters (especially long balls over the top) we still aren’t right and still seem to panic. A hell of start and Pep and Pep 2 have a hell of squad let’s hope they can use it fully and make key changes earlier.
