Our board, if we've actually pulled out over the finances on this, need a rocket up the arse. We can't be saying we're one of the top 2 or 3 clubs for revenue in the world if we can't afford a transfer like this.

I'm all for going after Wirtz but not to the point where it breaks our wage structure. We still need to do the things that got us to the top and one of them was the ability to walk away when the numbers went above what we were prepared to pay. I've no problem with that.

As elsewhere in life, some people are cunts and not worth the mither, IF players turn up here giving us the idea that they'll choose us to push up their wage demands elsewhere there's fuck all we can do and it says more about them than us. I'll stand our trophy haul up over the past decade against any club in this country no-one can touch that. He can play, he's a grafter and he'll provide a bit of bite to our midfield. Alongside Rodri, Echeverri it would be tough to beat. Get Khusanov into intensive training at RB and look for a dedicated proper LB
