Likelihood is, Kev will have the opportunity to bag 500k a week somewhere in the middle east, while he doesn't warrant that based on his injury record in recent years. If he's set his expectations and the club have agreed to not make an offer, I think that's a pretty grown up outcome all round and shows that we're not operating on sentiment........
But is sentiment driving the Gundo renewal? - his performances certainly don't warrant the renewal. Hard to say whether the mess we have in midfield is because of him, or whether he's underperforming because of the general shitshow around him - I guess the club have decided its the latter.
Perhaps also the loss of KDB and Walker in the same season it's seen that they need some continuity in that leadership group?
