Would've been a freekick and a yellow of it happened in the middle of the pitch.
In my opinion, as per rules of the game, he was no longer in control of the ball, and wasn’t realistically expecting to regain it. Yellow yes, free kick no.

You cannot give a yellow if no offence has been made.
He went in with studs up . That is a no no anywhere on the pitch. Kane may even have seen him coming in do and held up.
Studs up and contact, is a foul. In the area ? Then a penalty.

Did we get a pen when Barton elbowed Tevez? No. It wasn't an on the ball incident. Offences are either when a player is (or is realistically expected to become) in control of the ball, or aren't. You can get booked for an off-the-ball incident without a foul being given.

like others have said, it’s a yellow card offence anywhere else on the pitch! the only dodgy bit is the ref not giving it in the first place!!

There’s no rule against “studs up”. Your studs are up when you run and jump. Kane’s studs were up as well, so maybe a free kick to Holland?

Just watched it - that’s not a fuckin penalty at all

Kane has kicked the defenders foot. The defender has every right to try and block it, Kane is the one following through after kicking it (a shit shot at that). Embarrassing that anyone would call that a pen.

Not a penalty for me. If it was, as Neville rightly says, no-one would be allowed to challenge in the box. Who the fuck cares when it goes your way? The red shites have been getting away with this all my life. I'll take that and move onto the final. That all said, the sooner Southgate goes, the better. England are winning despite him not because of him

Anyone that’s backing him to stay can’t be a real football fan……or are we just spoilt as we are used to watching City all the time?

Penalty or not, no fucks given. After the shit we've had to endure over the years (hand of God, Beckham red, Campbell goal disallowed for fuck all, Lampard v Germany) I couldn't give a toss. Yamal Vs Trippier though is gonna be some scary shit.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

How wasn't it off the ball? He'd already released the ball, and had no realistic chance of regaining it.

The one where Beckham kicked out at a player? Campbell one the one where Shearer went up with an elbow (as he always did the snide fucker). Come on mate

I’ll give you the Lampard one - that was disgraceful!

Kicked out? He was lay face down and flicked his leg up petulantly and Simeone milked it. Could argue that Shearer was using his arms for leverage as per the old "hard to jump with your arms by your side" argument. Even if you discount these, we've been due one in the lucky column.
