I'm not sure if it's fitness but we pass and play much better in the first half of every game.

Great win, brilliant subs.

Happy days

From Pep’s recent comments it looks like he was saving Alvarez and Doku for Arsenal and thought we had enough to beat Leipzig tonight without them. One blip and that approach changed, leading to them coming on and making a real difference.

Agreed - An assist and a goal for Doku in 15 mins ?

Grealish needs to fucking buck up as he had zero impact ,once again.

That must put any comparison between Doku and Sterling.
We all know what Raheem would have done there.

100% but I'd argue haaland needs to buck up more as grealish hasn't had haalands benefit of starting every game

Had to take some customers out for dinner tonight so missed the majority of the game (still saw 2 goals for us!). How and where did Lewis play?

Rico was superb in that role but how easy does Rodri make the game look. If he was playing Sunday I'd be totally confident.
I've been totally supportive of Grealish but he's morphed back into the Jack of 12 months ago and Doku is going from strength to strength so he has to play Sunday.

Nick , you come out with some crap, Haarland is absolutely ok , so too the others you have been complaining about on this thread.

It was Haarland that really made the goal by getting a difficult possession , to Alvarez.

Like Nigels tackle, so negative all the time . the game is played over 90 minutes , to win you need 1 more goal than the opposition, That's it.

God knows how many games have been won 1-0 since the time footy existed.

Haarland feeds of scraps.

What are you smoking ?

Haaland was wank and has been wank most of this season. Fluffs sitters and does nothing else. If he doesn't score he's a wasted player.

I've complained about 3 players - grealish, haaland and akanji. Two were subbed and we won the game with two of the subs contributing the goals AND assists? And its pretty unanimous that everyone on here wanted haaland and grealish off?? The subs aren't made and we don't win. Simples.

First positive interview I've ever heard from a reporter - said wow at Rico.

I do not smoke, What are you smoking ? Grealish is finished at City. let Arsenal or Newcastle buy him .
Don't blame Akanji when Dias screws up , which he does - he was at fault for their goal, he gave up running after the player , or did you miss that ?

Akanji lost the ball every time he stepped in to midfield. He cost us goals over the last week. He isn't as good as ake (who got rinsed at left baxk at the weekend granted - but is better at centre half than akanji). We have gvardiol along with ake now, don't see why he needs to start.

it is good we use this forum to expose our deepest anxieties but after tonight it is also good to recognise them as often a little absurd.

He gets a deflection off the defenders legs which lifts it above the goalie, you can only see it from one angle which they didn’t show twice. Great victory in a tough arena.

Akanji is wank, I really dont get that loving for him, without Dias leadership we wouldn't have won the league last season. We looked formidable with Dias and Stones. One can defend and lead, and the latter good at defending and joining midfield. Akanji can't do neither, just a tidy squad player. I said it last season we won't win the league without Dias coming back to form and leading the line. Now I'm saying Dias and Stones partnership is a must.

Fully agree on Akanji. A decent defender but never a starter for me if we have alternatives and we always do have these day in Ake and Gvardiol and Stones coming back.
He was at fault for Wolves’ second goal by heading the ball straight back into the middle instead of heading in to the left where he had two City player available.

I also agree that Doku should start at Arsenal as Grealish has become ineffective again. Jack can come in late if we are winning and help close the match as he is good at keeping the ball and not much else at the moment. Maybe Jack can be more effective in midfield if only Pep tries him there for once !!!
