From the BBC

Fulham and West Ham are among a number of Premier League clubs interested in England's European Under-21 Championship-winning captain Taylor Harwood-Bellis.

The 21-year-old Manchester City defender led the Young Lions to their first European title in 39 years with victory over Spain in Saturday's final.

He also won the Championship while on loan at Burnley last season.

It is understood City value Harwood-Bellis at about £15m.

Harwood-Bellis, who is entering the final year of his contract at City, was name-checked by England manager Gareth Southgate during the senior international break last month.

His centre-back partner Levi Colwill was part of the England squad during the last international break and figures at the FA believe Harwood-Bellis is one of a number of the current U21 team able to progress to the senior squad.

This had better not be true. He needs to be give a new contract pronto. £15m would be an absolute bargain

until 2028 - a mere detail for the likes of Bayern and their propaganda outlets, :?

But one that means if they want a player with a long contract they have to pay seriously top dollar which they rarely, if ever, do

All this nonsense about propaganda etc . It is Dortmunds Alvarez they have their eyes on .

^^^^^ i'm reading that it is a mistaken identity with our young Julian. It's only the Dortmund fella they want.

Levi Colwell played a handful of games for brighton towards the end of last seasoj and they have turned doen bids of 40m plus.

Harwood bellis wins championship, has several seasons as a pro, captains england to under 21 euros and we have valued him at 15m.

Makes no sense.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can only assume it’s because he only has a year left on his contract

We have to extend his contract. It’s as simple as that

Letting him go for £15m would be shocking business. This lad is deffo a future England centre half and possibly sooner rather than later

Seems our strategy is to sell where possible with a buyback option as with Trafford, rather than a loan (sometimes without though as with Slicker I think.) Looks like Perrone and several others will be moved abroad to other clubs in the CFG by both means.

The buy backs are pointless. The player plays well and he has his pick of teams and the buy back becomes redundant.

The fact we’ve let Rico Lewis and Harwood Bellis run down to 12 months is ridiculous. Any decent player, Walker included, that’s been allowed to get to the final year..whose job is it to do this? That’s three players plus Gundo.

Probably why Gundo isn’t here now, if we’d got something sorted 18 months ago until waiting this late. Silly.

I’d take James Ward Prowse into our squad at 30 mill
He’s a very clever player and best dead ball man in the premier league. Looks a decent lad as well.

Someone at Bild sat down and decided to write an article in which he is saying Bayern are planning to loan Julian, while someone above him said: Yeah, let's publish this.

No wonder this appeared on the market: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/ ... bs-with-ai

Juventus supposedly keen on Laporte. Loan with option to buy. I should think City want a sale.

As you know Pete I've always loved Laporte but quite happy for him to go if Gvardiol is coming in.
Laporte is 29, suffering a few injuries and obviously out of favour.
Gvardiol is 21 and looks like he's got the world at his feet.
Definite upgrade.

Sure, mate, but let's get some money.
The world is lacking defenders and our deals with Italians were always beyond shite.

Manchester City have knocked back serious offers for James McAtee as the midfielder aims to cement a place in Pep Guardiola's first-team squad.

McAtee took the bold decision to go on loan to Sheffield United last season despite it not being top preference at the Etihad, but backed up his plan as he played a starring role in a promotion campaign that sees the Blades back in the top flight of English football. That has seen even more interest in signing the 20-year-old either on loan or in a permanent deal, with Premier League and Bundesliga clubs among those keen.

However, Guardiola and his bosses were impressed by the character McAtee showed on loan to battle back after a chastening start in the Championship and with Ilkay Gundogan leaving and further doubts in midfield there is the opportunity for the Salford youngster to slot back in at the Etihad.

As a result, City have rebuffed all interest in a player with three years left on his contract despite some buyers being willing to go as high as £30m.
