Transfer rumours

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Walker has 2 years at least left in his tank fitness wise. The issue is becoming more what Pep now wants from his full backs in terms of positioning and passing. And Pep has already alluded to this.

But as a character in the dressing room and his experience and knowledge and know how of how City tick, he is 100% worth keeping next year and beyond.

Lewis may or may not be ready to take on his mantle just yet and by keeping Walker around he can continue to learn from him

Gundog is the same. A model professional who has been there and done it numerous times. A guy who still has a couple of years left. Think how much our Academy boys will be learning from him. He is a winner and if you can’t learn from old pros like that then you will have a short career. I could easily see him going into coaching and why wouldn’t we want to be the beneficiaries of that?

Silva is a guy who we all love for lots of reasons. But his case is different in that he isn’t coming to the end of his career like Walker and Gundog. It’s well publicised he is courting a move elsewhere due to his personal life. Is he worth keeping? Yes of course. But only if his heart is really in it as a guy not 100% focused isn’t going to do well at City.

But how many guys out there that are obtainable that can replace those three? Not many I’d wager

Brighton close in on Milner. WTF?! They’ve got a decent team. I genuinely don’t see what he offers and I didn’t when he was here

I've only seen bits of him but Macalister looks serious, I'd like him in our squad. Got a winner's mentality and also possesses good old fashioned Argentinian graft.

Since Pep's been here we've lost Zabba, Yaya, David Silva, Fern, Serg, Vinnie and a few B Listers as well. The number one in terms of winning mentality is Pep.
No need to worry until we lose him.

You missed Kolarov when you mentioned Yaya, Silva etc. Probably our biggest loss.

We’re giving Barca another handout by loaning Cancelo for next season. Add to that Gundo probably going there as well. Possibly Laporte? Would they like Haaland for the year? Let’s help them get back on their feet. Are we able to loan managers to them? They owe us millions for Torres but why not write it off?

We've not looked back since Cancelo went in Jan so there's no way he'll be here next season and there's not many places he could go to. Laporte has come out and said he wants to stay. Gundo i'd love to stay but it seems to be all on this not offering anybody in their 30s more than a 12 month deal when he wants 2 years. I'd love this to be resolved as he's showing no signs of deterioration. His game has never been about pace anyway.

Which is exactly why we should be selling him, not loaning him again just for the other team to realise what a nuisance he is and not buy him.

There's got to be a buyer willing to pay the price that he agrees to join. That's a few different scenarios that need to happen.

Exactly. So let’s wait and see in the summer. Not have his agent already in Barca negotiating.

Cancelo has no future with us l. Agree that we should not be giving him away to Farca on loan unless they commit to and subsequently buy him. The issue is he goes there and causes them not to buy him. Ultimately we are going to have to accept a loss on him

Yep. Loss on him or a swap deal involving him (which is how Juve caught us out)

Giving Cancelo to Barcelona. I am not so sure that's helping them.
He will stink the place out. As they have found out in Munich.

Who am I kidding, I would take Rice in a heartbeat.
I think he would be cheaper than Bellingham and he is just 24.

Madrid will explore signing Mbappe also this summer.

Makes no sense when you have Vini and Rodrigo. Where will you play him? Instead of Benzema? The cunt is not a striker. Move arguably the best winger of the world to accommodate the prima donna? Again odd.
Mbappe and Bellingham are the recipe of disaster if you ask me.

Where are they getting £250+ million for those two?
