They haven't sold Assets, Future intangible Revenue from broadcasting is not an asset because they are not in possession of the Revenues - smacks of corruption. . They have thrown the baby out with the bath water.
Mate I absolutely agree with you. Technically they have sold assets, their stake in a media company and then they have given up future income in exchange for a cash payment now. The sort of thing desperate people or gamblers do with loan sharks. It’s no different to what Leeds or Rangers did as far as I can see. It shouldn’t be allowed and City are foolish to have agreed terms like this if there’s no recourse due to breach of contract.
RE City, not really , once they default on paying City , City can call in the grim reaper. That would be nice. Barca and Madrid need taking down a few steps. Just like the rags and scouse.
