This ref should be nowhere near a premier league match…..oh wait……

The reason they are is because they are compliant.

Funny how decisions start to go in our favour after we are two up.
Not just today. How many penalties, even some really soft, we’ve got after the game was done?

And shit like that go into “stats”

No not yet.
Though I did forget to post Fernandes should have been sent off in the Thursday night cup for a cowardly studs up challenge on the Betis goalie, (Bravo, he of the original one shot one goal, of all people!)

Bournemouth 1-0 Liverpool
Sky Sports' Sue Smith on Soccer Saturday:

"It could be a potential penalty here for Liverpool. Jota jumps and Adam Smith is turning his back.

"His arm is up, it's such a tight one as he's so close. He's using his arms to jump in the air.

"But if his arms are up and it touches it, they normally get given."

I always like quoting Sky because it is confirmation that for any other team (except Liverpool) it is a card:

Man Utd 0-0 Southampton
Sky Sports' Peter Smith:

"Poor from Rashford. An embarrassing dive. Not something you want to see.

"Why isn't that punished with a yellow card?"

When there was a penalty claim in the first half, The ball broke for Soton and Shaw bodychecked a player. In the melee afterwards with the little weasel claiming a handball, Alty completely missed carding Shaw. Shaw got away with one there. Just at the end of the game, Shaw kicks the breaking Soton player and rightly gets booked for a Technical foul.
Shaw got away with another one there because he would have been sent off had Alty done his job in the first place.

How did Pope not get sent off and Wolves awarded a penalty. Horrendous decision. He lost control of the ball, the Wolves guy got it and was taken out. How did VAR not overturn the decision

Should be on the "One that got away thread" , but Pope would have gone if he was a City player. Also in the build up Burn got lucky could have been carded for his wreckless tackle.

On another note , why is the Ref wearing the same colour shirt ( pretty much ) as Pope ?? Now, The clubs advise on their colours way before the start of the game. So the Ref should have worn black or red. Piss poor Pigmol.

7: FOUL! City are calling for a yellow card for Fabinho as the Brazilian goes in clumsily on Grealish. It's not his first foul. He's lucky to avoid a booking.

The beeb making a big thing about Rodri not getting second yellow for tactical foul. I didn’t see it, what is the reality?

He was booked a few minutes earlier after he did a similar foul. But to be fair to the ref he indicated that booking was for an accumulation of fouls rather than the one foul. So when a similar foul was committed what seemed the entire dipper surrounded the ref berating him to give a red. But the clueless fucks didn’t realise it was just a foul and one not worthy of a yellow

Funnily enough though I didn’t see any dippers getting cautioned for surrounding the ref. Maybe that third player rule that Dias was pulled up on was just a one weekend thing?

He did the same thing fabinho didn't get booked for in the eighth minute.

Thing is that was Fabinho's 3rd foul in the 8th minute of the game and he should have been booked for persistent fouling. Only way you're going to stop shitehawks like him fouling all game long.

Both linesmen were a calamity yesterday.
Saw it many times when we are under pressure it takes ages to raise the flag, but when we are attacking they can't wait to put it up.

Hooper looked ok, was a surprise.
