City briefing very confidently.

Love to see this.
But I hope, as mentioned earlier, to see us go for their neck next.

If not, they will not rest.

No he isn't. He's 'a member' - like all Cityzens card holders are 'members' of MCFC. My guess is it's going to be incredibly hard to find a competent sports lawyer or administrator in London who isn't a member of a sports club there. Case in point: two decades ago we had a chairman who was a Spurs season ticket holder!

Who was that? Bernstein or Wardle.

Bernstein. Wardle is a blue.

I thought they both were.
.
This is Bernstein's leaving statement.

"I would like to thank our wonderful fans for their backing. They have been fantastic in their support, which has never wavered even during the most difficult times. I have been touched by their kindness and enthusiasm. I have supported Manchester City since I was a boy and I am desperate for us to succeed."

Bernstein. Was a Spurs ST holder, and used to take his nephew to games. Not sure whether it was before or during his tenure as our Chairman, or both, but it was before 2004, when his nephew first mentioned it to me.

Fair enough, but I've always believed he was blue through and through. Supposedly missed his own Bar Mitzvah to go to the 56 cup final against Birmingham.
Comes from St Helens, so not sure why he'd follow spuds. Maybe his nephew was the spuds fan and he was just being a good uncle.

Whatever happens I’ll support City. Win or lose always blues. If I have to go to the Conference I will.

My understanding is: PL after fours of investigation (triggered by hacked information) bring 100 charges to be reviewed by an 'independent commission' with City having no right to appeal the verdict.
If the PL have gone to this amount of bother, the penalties will be harsh, striped of titles, demotion and deducted points?

The above sounds like a stitch up with City having no chance of winning.

As the old saying goes, I hope we have the video tapes.....

That's kind of my point. People have STs of clubs they don't necessarily support, for all kinds of reasons - family, business, and just being a general fan of the game. Dare I say it, but I'd hazard a guess that a fair few of our hospitality season ticket holders have near-equivalent tickets at the Swamp, too (especially those who moved up North with MediaCity). I'd also say that being a 'member' of Arsenal doesn't mean that this Rosen guy is necessarily a die-hard Gunner.

Reminds me of the episode in Blackadder goes forth when Edmund had shot and eaten Melchetts favourite pidgeon and in the court martial Melchett was judge and chief witness

Usually follow a guy called Prestwich Blue on these matters, the rest is conjecture, rumour and utter shite but i respect everyone is entitled to comment. Personally i think the deck is stacked and after 4 years we'll get more than a hand slap unless we play hardball

What's this bollox you can't appeal?
Even in Romania, where laws are made by apes, you can appeal and go to CAS.

Quick look at YouTube.
First clip I see, from 'FootballDebates', headline is: 'SIMON JORDAN REACTS TO MAN CITY BREACHING FINANCIAL FAIR PLAY'

That was quick. Charges brought in the morning, hearing and verdict completed by the afternoon.

Obviously a lot of people want this to stick and want us buried.

Apparently the PL had a mole - the hunt is on and George Smiley has been spotted at the Etihad

I think it was Carl that said we need to get behind the club manager and team right now , The Etihad needs to be rocking this weekend from start to finish

We will get treated very harshly. They will want to send a message to Newcastle to say you might have backing but you're not in our gang, you can't do what you want

Barest minimum is a big fine. Probably also includes a transfer embargo. Can't see relegation but I wouldn't rule out a points deduction, especially if it benefits 2 red shite clubs. Arsenal winning it and rags securing top 4. Might even open the door for a triumphant dipper rally.

Is it true we cant appeal? Surely not. Any basis of trial has that caveat in place. But I suspect we would take any perceived unfair judgment on our part to the highest courts available. Either way this will get messy and could escalate into a very different beast entirely as the Corruption of the PL could be outlined and put out there for the football World to see

We can appeal. It would go to the High Court and not CAS. They’re just pushing the, “this time CAS can’t save them narrative” but saying we can’t appeal to CAS

Cheers for that, mate.
Exactly that is the narrative, I've never read anything about the High Court.
