He's in the last year or his contract. His market value is around 50m euro, so 30 isn't a bad deal.
There are reports circulating that Barcelona will have a negative salary cap next season. In theory, this would mean players would have to pay to play for them. However, in reality, there's a clause in the salary caps that (if I understand it correctly) means teams can spend 25% of any savings they make (this is regardless of the negative sum). If that's right, just to match Jesus's current salary of £90k per week, they'd have to shave £360k per week off the current wage bill.
Of course, as we've learned from Barca's recent transfer dealings, there's nothing to stop them signing him, it's registering him that's the issue...
