Maybe , but he probably thought his defender would boot it out into touch - there’s no way he thought he would kick it into his goal from that angle .

Playing wide full backs means we look light in midfield. Fewer options to pass through lines. I’d like to see Cancelo playing narrower. I think he’s happier there.

We don’t have an Aguero or Yaya or Kompany that will get a goal from nothing anymore. That’s the main difference.
