The ball struck Laporte. He didn’t kick it into his goal. Cancelo played a dreadful ball and what Steffen was doing only he knows.

Apart from kicking the ball into his own goal. I don't put the blame on him, but it was pretty clumsy to be fair.

Both are responsible. The soton player was alone there, Laporte should have been near him.
I think Steffen got scared to bring him down.

Steffen is under pressure this game and we see a different player. I think he played a part in the pressure on us the last ten minutes and God knows why he didn't that through ball for the goal

We dont need a change of player YET.

The problem is we are not first to the ball too many time, too many players WAITING for the ball to arrive.

Soton are well drilled and putting the effort in. - The players out there need to respond and put the effort in, mentally mostly
we are not sharp enough and that is THE problem.

The worst City player this half up has probably been Cancelo.

We will do well to be in draw for the semi final after that first half. It’s 50/50 whether we will be and that’s being generous. Saints could easily have scored another couple

Maybe not but how often does he get the pass out from the back wrong? He did it on Monday and he's done it again today. We're already a defender down to start off with because Cancelo isn't one. Last thing we need is cb's presenting the ball to opposing midfielders.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

This is what’s pissed me off the most. We stopped attacking with a purpose. It’s so annoying

He miss kicked it and scored an own goal .
How is that “in no way “ was it Laporte fault ?
He’s dodgy as fuck at the back IMO , I reckon no one would cry if he left us in the summer .

I asked earlier on - has Baldie ever made a tactical substitute change at half time ?
