It would have been better if instead of sucking on Messi he spoke about the officials more as Laporte did.
100% we are getting Anty for the rags game. Place your bets now and we will give them the vaseline also.

Are you really surprised he blew smoke up Messi’s arsehole instead of slating the ref straight after the game !!???

Come on mate ! Anything Barca or Messi and he’s up them like a ferret up a drainpipe .
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

That was one of thew worst refereeing displays I've ever seen. At least three times he gave PSG throw-ins or goal kicks when the ball had clearly came off their player last. Herrera and Veratti should both have been booked which changes completely how they play the game, look at how quickly Veratti got taken off ofter being booked. Neymar was appalling and is allowed to carry on diving by referees who stop play when he hasn't even been fouled. The ref allowed Gueye to stay on the pitch after receiving treatment after de Bruyne's "foul" on him.
Mancini is loved because he said what he saw when it came to ref's puting in this type of performance. He called them out on it. He would have criticised Neymar for his antics. Pep is a great manager and his football is a joy to watch most of the time but I still long for Mancini ripping into someone taking liberties with his players and team.

This is actually correct. Few refs even know their own rules, however on this occasion the Spanish ref got it right as KDB was carded. It's to not disadvantage your own team when it's your team that was offended against. A rule I agree with.

The rest of his performance was shite though

That rings a bell regarding the injured player staying on the park when a card is issued. Does make a bit of sense.

“And let me say I’m in love with Marco Verratti," added Guardiola, as per Fabrizio Romano. "He (Verratti) is an exceptional player. He is small, but you can always count on him. I'm happy he's back from injury."

I’ve tried to hold it in all day and not be too critical on anyone from last night, but this shit is irritating the fuck out of me. Why does Pep do this every game?! Is he obsessed with being liked by everyone else apart from his own fans? Before we play a team he bigs them up, telling us all how amazing they are. And then after the match if he’s not on the pitch with his arm around an oppo player, he’s telling everyone how much he loves them. Worse than Hart.

It's easy to say Sterling should have scored or Bernardo shouldn't have missed an open net but the reality is that if you have an out and out striker in those situations, the likelihood of scoring is greatly increased. I personally don't think much of the ciritism on this thread is valid (although everyone can have an opinion), Mahrez and Grealish did ok for me, Kev too, Sterling wasn't great but he wasn't terrible. We did almost enough to deserve to win the game, the only thing we didn't was the things an out and out striker should have done. The elephant in the room is absolutely the club's failure to replace Sergio. Maybe Jesus or Torres could have been played in that position but they are not the strategic solutions.

So you don’t think the player that was responsible for the goal and arguably the second one as well didn’t have a terrible game ?

You lose all credibility in your argument when you defend the fucking indefendible !

We played Chelsea off the park last week with no striker and guess what - Sterling wasn’t playing .
We played half of last season without Sterling with no striker and guess what , we won the Prem .

We played the CL with Sterling and guess what , we lost .

I’m guilty more than most for zooming in and magnifying mistakes , but fuck me , Sterling is a liability in this team when we play TOP sides and most fans can see this . Our other players get moved around to accommodate him when he does play , none more so than Foden who pisses all over Sterling as a football player but ends up playing out of his best position .

Let’s Just say it how we see it and stop with the blind support this player gets just because 2 years ago he was really good !
I agree with all that.

Sterling is really, really shit.He has no redeeming qualities.

Every move that involves Sterling breaks down.

He can not even "trap" and control a football these days. And creates quick counters against us.

It is inexplicable that Guardiola still picks him,yet he does.

His obsession with rotating, for rotating sake, irrespective if it is detrimental to the greater good of the team.

Sterling should be nowhere near this side.

I would blood an Academy product in,rather than watching him

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over, and over and ecpecting differnt results. This is Guardiola with Sterling. It is bizzare,2 years he has been doing the same thing.

All this rancour could have been avoided if we'd won - as we should have done given our excellent performance. Very unlucky result, poor Bernie must be distraught.

I really agree with the rotation, I think is quite the reason we won so much, you need to keep players fit and happy because they are primadonna's. We grew up when teams had 12-15 great players and the rest for there for the numbers. Is not the case anymore.

What I think is stupid is rotate in a big game, a thing we did multiple times and play out of form players without a reason.
We seem to do this very often and we get away at times, with lower teams, but always came back at bite our arse when it mattered.

I think we need to be a little more ruthless when it comes to players. They are paid a shit load of money, they can handle critics and benching when they really deserve that.

Let’s not clog the board with you being offended about me posting quotes from a manager on a football forum (shock horror!!).

The fuck has him being our most successful manager got to do with anything? It means he can’t make mistakes? And on a Man City forum we’re not allowed to speak about the Man City manager?
You’ve probably got 3 kids but your screensaver on your phone is a picture of Pep.

Genuine question, do you not feel like slapping Pep when he constantly ball licks the opposition plates? It's like he fucking motivates them against us, do you really not find it irritating?
