Looked decent, of course, against Wycombe.

But time to risk it and see If he can be at least a backup?

100%. Better than anything I've seen at LB in the last 4 years , Zinchenko and Cancelo aren't left backs and fail for different reasons. Mendy is a left back but is a useless liability cunt and now moving to Strangeways

'Professional' full backs have certain attributes - they can defend and they have pace down the wing in attack and defence. Bonus if they pick out a good cross, like he did last night.

Needs to learn not to get left in when they run out, but soon will

Give the lad a go. The options we have are so limited, why not? Cancelo is a waste there as he is better either on the right or further forward. Although Walker is about twice as good, on the right, IMHO.

Yes he should get some minutes
But not away to Chelsea, PSG or the Vermin.
Ease him in.

I agree.

He could get absolutely rinsed by Mbappe or Salah or Pulisic and given his tender years, not recover

Or, alternatively, he could thrive against that challenge? All 3 of those teams sre going to target our left side anyway as it is a weak link. For me, playing a player who is familiar with that position is better than asking another to play out of position. There is a real opportunity for the kid to make the position his own, I'd give him a go. It's a moot point though Pep will not play him and will try another option

Nope. He's played one game for us. Now's the opportune moment to ship him off to a Championship club for £2.5 million.
