Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Narrative has changed with Neville. I wonder when will Keane be told to follow.
Going from: 'these players will throw Ole under the bus' (Keane more than once) and
Neville 'I think a couple of years ago I said quite publicly at times there was a team I didn't like watching wearing those red shirt'
now from Neville: 'What Manchester United have is a lot of match-winners - Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial, Daniel James, Mason Greenwood, Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford... Game-changers.'
To which I say, it is amazing how good a manager VAR is

Derby have just appointed Rooney as "permanent" manager. Why?

Maybe the same readon as Lampard in that they think it will carry favour at the swamp and they can pick up some of the kids on loan?
Cannot see this working, he's not the brightest kid and I imagine it will be difficult for him to get his ideas across without crayons

Maybe they think he still curries favour with officials as he used to get away with murder as a player
A quite baffling appointment and one they will regret in a year or so. But most of the EFL clubs seem to change their managers with alacrity and very few of them have my sympathy with the issues they face due to Covid-19.

Somewhere behind the scenes he's probably been told:
"Count out ten players using your fingers and thumbs, but don't include anyone wearing gloves. Then choose one of the ones wearing gloves to be the goalkeeper. Don't say anything about school lunches".

I arrived early to a restaurant. The manager said do you mind waiting for a bit? I said no.
Good, he said. Take these drinks to table nine.

Sheff Utd's win yesterday should give them confidence going into another similar battle with an underdog on wednesday.

A shepherd is tending his flock at the end of the day and asks his sheepdog how many sheep he had herded.
'30!' said the sheepdog.
After recovering from the shock of hearing his dog speak English, the shepherd replies, 'but we only have 26'.
'That's right', replied the dog, 'I rounded them up'.
