The interviewer should really really take him to task over this.

Read my last post mate.

Pep explained why he isn’t using all subs in each game in an interview sometime after the Porto game I believe.

but we really should have put this to bed. But if we win we go fourth so job done

Put this to bed? We are winning 2-0 and controlling the game, which saves our legs a little for the long season ahead.

More than happy with this. In fact, I think this, and the last few games have seen a real shift from Pep and how we are managing games.

At 2-0, a goal for Fulham would have made a game of it, albeit it was unlikely, but it isn’t as if we’ve never seen it happen. 3-0 and any fight left in Fulham would evaporate

But a win is a win and three more points puts us fourth with a game in hand so no real complaints from my house

Here’s the MEN’s article on why Pep made 1 sub against Porto:

I think Jesus was one of them..... He was fouled in the 88th minute, didn't see when he actually came on though

Was Jesus one of them mate ?

Won at a canter. Foden got (another ) rest. Thought he nay have got a run in 2nd half but looks like he may get Weds so Pep can play gundo and Rodri next whkend and we will get raped on the break again. Gabs anonymous once more. Clean sheet again which is becoming a nice habit and helps if we are not scoring .

i was wondering why we took it so easy . Maybe it will give Fulham some belief next week . That they can get something out of the game when they play Scouse2?

We'll be back to a game in hand tomorrow, but right at this minute all the top 7 have played 10 games.

In regards to CB's Dias has been immense since he came in. That said, Stones has been the one who's been in charge of our build up, and he's done it with the honor. As soon as Dias gets the ball, he passes it square to John who brings it up the pitch.

Stones at about the 80 minute mark had the most passes with a 99% accuracy. That's why he is in the team

If Stones keeps his head down and continues to improve, I’d rather have him at DM than Rodri.

I’d rather have stones than Laporte who is a disaster in big games, There is a reason the French are World Champions without him getting a single cap !!
