We're just going to ignore PePs shower of shit management in the CL competition since he came here ?

Nope, here's a thought, let's acknowledge both luck and poor decision making have been factors.

Bad decisions.
Bad luck.
Good Cheating.

A combination of 2 or all 3 of the above, that's what the latter stages of the CL has given to us.
Maybe that will change some day.

To try and judge Pep on our CL results is absurd in the extreme.
Foe example, the Liverpool and Spurs CL games - no manager can win when the results have been pre-determined against him - end of.

Same goes for last years PL.
Aside for the results, what about the effect on players morale when they see what is happening.
Hardly in a manager's job remit - '...be able to motivate players when they know they will be booked for sneezing on another player,
while your principal opponents will get penalties (when needed to win) if they touch the ball in oppositions penalty area...'

How much would SAF have won operating under the same restrictions. I'll tell you - not very much.

Pep is doing an amazing job when you take the dodgy calls into account and the knock on effect of them on players morale, etc...

Absolutely this.
Also the 1st year he was here against Monaco at home 1st half when Serg was taken out by the keeper. No pen given. Before VAR but extra officials were behind the goal. Went out on away goals.
Can't legislate for that.

Yes we've been cheated, yes we have had bad luck, no denying it.
But to suggest that pep didnt make bad decisions regarding team selections and tactics for those games is very wrong.
Let's not re-write history.
Too often too many hide behind the old cheating chestnut, and it's a great argument but the truth is there's more to it than that.

A team of our quality shouldn’t have to rely on referees when we’re playing teams like Spurs and Lyon. We get it wrong ourselves.

Small margins. We are not so far off. Bayern were the best team and won it rightly so. We have a great manager, lets back him and City to get there. Half my mates want it the others like me who have travelled all around Europe would take it but don't get to hung up.
