Mahrez had a great season last year.

I'm not saying I would have started him over Foden either, but he's the boss and has some success in the game at what he does.

However, to suggest it cannot ALSO be about what you wrote is also naive as his City career is on the line.

That makes no sense. He’s showing “belief and faith” in Mahrez, but at the same time showing he has no belief or faith in Foden (who will be at the club longer than Mahrez hopefully).

Please stop making excuses. It’s embarrassing
