It's gonna be a case of who blinks first. Looks like his contract is watertight so there's no scenario where he walks away free without paying his release clause. Is Messi that desperate to leave that he will pay it because that's the only way it gets paid. Barca has every right to ask for a transfer fee and even at the £150m mark, if you take into account his wages does that price him out of a move anywhere? Keeping him and paying him £100m and then losing him for nothing screws up Koemans rebuilding plans so Messi v Barca needs sorting before anything else happens. The loan scenario makes sense but I doubt Barca would play ball as they can still command a very big transfer fee.

Not sure that's right mate- city sources say he walka for free

Tebas (la Liga ) are putting up a bullshit PR exercise to protect the product . Meanwhile in the real world Messi will leave Barca one way or another and city are prepared with a deal in place . It really is that simple .
Once again @HagridFCB up to the minute inside info , this guy is literally owning social media then sky etc put their agenda bullshit spin on it .
Not really here

Strangely enough, I've just finished reading Blue Moon Rising, the fall and rise of Manchester City, which covers Swales going, Forward with Frannie, Alan Ball, Coppell, Clarke and ends with Joe Royle taking City up with the 4-1 at Blackburn.

Talk about a comedy show, unbelievable how it's changed to this.

TBH, the main reason I want this to happen is to piss off Tebas.

It was only @City-Chief who went with the Mendy bollocks , he has been well and truly fucked off by MCFC followers .
@HagridFCB is totally ahead of the game in the Messi soap opera . Different levels here big time !

Imagine the excitement of the young players getting to train and play with Messi.

This deal would be a coup in so many ways (depending on the fee of course).

Since Messi gets 100 mill a year I think that would be a fair offer to Barca. Any more than that they can fuck off. The days of City being held to ransom are long gone.

Garcia doesn’t want to stay anyway. Rather than drag this out it makes financial sense to me.

Messi believes he is free and wants the sign on fee. Fuck being soft touch and giving them daft money when we dont need too.

Apparently father messi wants him on a plane here by fri... and submitted the legal docs to fifa showing he is no longer a barca player.

If we pay £100 million plus Jesus and Garcia that’s ridiculous. I’d be well against it.
