Where did rule 2 come from? Will probably be adhered to anyway but I had a couple of weeks without city players last season.

Rule 1 is hard enough to keep to for some numpties

It got brought up last season after the top 6 weren't using any City players. If you want the rule dropped that's okay, but it's not you people bitch to when they see that.

I like this rule set. It was seriously frustrating to lose to a side full of rags last time.
Got my name & basic team laid out, although fluctuations expected before the season starts of course! Very excited for this year!

I brought up this point last season. Our forum is called Mancityfans so how can you have a team in our league without one City player ?? I can't imagine my team without Kun or Jesus at least !! Anyway, you guys are the bosses and we will comply !!

For me it is a superstitious thing, whenever I've had a City player in they have played like they'd never seen a football in their life, but if thems the rules I'll have to concede...

1 rule is difficult enough for some. Not having a city player is ok.

Does anyone want to try the new Draft version of the game? I could set up a mini-league if there's interest (the PL Fantasy site recommend up to 8 players per league).

Yes, click on the Draft tab. Quite complicated rules and you need to be fairly active to make it work, but seems like good fun.
I will wait until we have around 5-6 interested before setting the league up.

i am interested in this draft thing. only hope I savvy enough to be there when needed and do it right.

Seems to be you don't really want many managers in the league. 10 managers means 150 different players would be selected.

Max 8. But we're only up to three with you, me and Slim.

All depends on time, C64, Beefy and WW would be up for it I'm sure if they had time.

Hail said she can't do it for fear of picking the wrong players, and I can't help but think I'd cheat and steal her players.

Someone at work has set up a draft league but ideally we all need to be logged on at the same time, which is proving somewhat challenging!

I think if this is going to happen it would have to happen this weekend. We need a minimum of 6 players to really do it and a time to sit down with everyone and do the draft. WE could skype I guess while we do the draft.

It'll be difficult to do every game week though. I think you have to set a fixed time every week, and those who can't be active at that specific time will just have to rely on creating a large watch list and prioritizing the players on it cleverly.

By the way, the first draft will be at exactly 48 hours from when the league is created.

I'll have a go if you you get near, but are short on numbers.
I've read the rules and can't make head or tail of them, but heyho, it's only a game.

Hey, I'll give the draft a shot too if you need the numbers. I just get hyper-competitive and this format looks likely to bring out the worst in me lol.

OK, I will set up a draft league later today. If I set it up at around 13:00 CET today, I think the draft will be at 13:00 CET on Wednesday. That'll be noon for the UK participants and 23:00 for Slim and Haily. Does that sound OK?

If I'm honest the rules are a bit of a muddle to me as well, but I think we will learn s we go along.

I'm now counting on me, Doug, Slim, PatrickBlue, HNQ and Dunnylad, which should be enough.
Am I missing anyone? Does anyone else want to join?

I forgot setting the Draft League up today. Will do it tomorrow at 13:00 CET, which means that the draft will take place on Thursday 13:00 CET.
