I've had a mare since January. It was going swimmingly until then, but now I'm ready to agree with you WW - it's a shite game.

So, I've created a new spreadsheet for the 17-18 PL season if we want to do it. Names of all forum members who participated are still in there, and will add any new ones as the season goes on:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

Of course, this was tim's thing, as he merely allowed me to help keep it going at the end of the 15/16 season.

I believe I should have the time this year to keep it updated, but whoever wishes to share the duties if needs be can. I can just add your Gmail address as an editor to the sheet.

There was talk of maybe changing the rule regarding putting City's goals first that caused some to lose points (me included!) where when we were away and scores would be listed as 0-2 for a win.

I would create a new thread, unless tim or someone else edits the first post here.

We'll played sir!

Count me in for the predictions. You need people like me who get it wrong most of the time to make the people who get it right look good!

Good man! So the rules from the old system are in the first post in this thread. You don't have to join anything anywhere unless you want to help keep tally of the scores.

Prior to each match anyone can create a thread for predictions to be made.

for example:

3-0 Jesus

Under the old rules it would have to be with CITY'S SCORE FIRST.

This cost some points. We can change it to how it is to how scores are kept when you are away (which I know everyone is familiar with):

0-3 Jesus

Not sure which one to go with. Better to leave it the same or change it?

Here's tim's details of the original rules:

Tim777 wrote:CITY SCORE - OPPOSITION SCORE
FIRST SCORER

For away games, always list the CITY SCORE FIRST - your prediction will be tallied accordingly.

In cases where a City score prediction is 0, the 1pt Correct First City Scorer will be awarded if correct.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Scoring:

1pt: Correct result (W/D/L)
1pt: Correct City Goals (#)
1pt: Correct Opposition Goals (#)
1pt: Correct City First City Scorer
1pt: All Correct Bonus Point

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So just to be sure we post here each week or will you do a new one each week for each game?

Keep in the same thread is easier I'd have thought.

I know I lost points before by not putting the City score first.

How about something like this sufficing.
3-0 Aguero. City win.
0-3 Aguero. City win.
there's no confusion really. Both the same.

That sounds clear, although the principle of punishing people for not reading the rules appeals to my nasty side.

League only or all games?

I'm cool with this.

As long as it is written in there that we win or lose seems fine with me.

Last time we had a thread for each game. Worked out pretty well I think.

Just title each thread this such as:

City Score Predictions League 17-18 Brighton (A)
City Score Predictions League 17-18 Everton (H)
City Score Predictions League 17-18 Bournemouth (A)

Scores just have to be in by kickoff and not edited after, of course
