Pep is leaving at end ofthe season according to the Daily Mail's Oliver Holt.
He has claimed this 'EXCLUSIVE' a couple of times in the past 5 seasons so I wouldn't worry too much . . .

Too much noise in other quarters for this not to have some truth in it, it's a pity the fans weren't told before it was leaked but hey ho onwards and upwards.

Sure it is true, but it a breaking news released 24 hours before a very difficult game by Holt, bin dipper fan and 115 promoter.
News pushed everywhere.
No agenda here.

I think they picked him because he was Peps number 2 and understands the playing philosophy and will continue that with his own ways mixed in.
Iagree that he has no record whatsoever apart from taking Leicester up to the Prem - Id rather of waited for Kompany or Enrique if I'm honest but it is what it is.

In all honesty it’s probably best he goes with a year left on his contract than stay next season with everyone knowing he’s not going to be there the following year. I don’t think that would benefit anyone at the club.
And we start with a clean slate regarding any recruitment we do in the summer and/or next January as well.
It’s been a quite incredible decade, one I doubt we will see again, so he is gonna be an incredibly difficult act to follow. But the current squad is in excellent shape with a good blend of experience and young players coming into their prime so the next guy, whoever that may be, has a great platform to build on

Spot on that NB except for the " whoever that may be " comment. We all know who it is and they'll all have known since Maresca's meetings with City last year and subsequently leaving Chelsea because of it.
Thanks Pep for the best decade ever.
Baldy is dead, long live Baldy.

My issue is still with who broke the news: Holt. The moment it went live, the entire red media ecosystem started amplifying it everywhere. And let’s not forget, this is the same Oliver Holt who wrote back in March: “Federico Valverde rips apart Pep Guardiola’s team of impostors with magnificent hat-trick for Real Madrid in 3-0 win, Man City’s task is now almost impossible.”
There’s absolutely no way he didn’t understand the timing and the reaction this would create. The second he posted it, every anti-City outlet picked it up instantly. And when did it happen? Right as Arsenal were playing at home, giving them a little morale boost, while we play the next day.
Even if the players already knew internally, today suddenly becomes all about the noise around it, constant questions, WhatsApp messages, media speculation, distractions everywhere. That kind of atmosphere matters.
It feels like a dirty tactic, honestly. And if this came from someone leaking information from our side, they should be sacked immediately for feeding someone who openly panders to the whole “115” crowd.

It still feels a little like a targeted attack to unsettle us before tonight's match to me - but I'm probably just still in denial.
Part of me thinks Khaldoon etc would manage Pep leaving a lot better in terms of the proper send off and keeping it out of the press so I'm still hoping its all bollox.
If it is true I think the team and squad are in a nice strong position anyway so whoever comes in is starting from a really strong position, so it shouldn't be doom and gloom and seen as the start of a new era. I think it will also give us a chance to reset as a fanbase and might also see us stop bickering so much on here too!

If true, what an awful way for it to be announced. The club are great at a lot of things, but this happening stinks of Swales/Lee era nonsense. He deserves a lot better.
And Maresca....FFS letting the manager choose their successor NEVER EVER works. A shit appointment

Been a blast. Vinny or Enrique. Nothing against Maresca
I’m sure our hierarchy will have a plan in place.

Kompany would be my choice. Don’t see Enrique leaving PSG any time soon
Kompany however. His family would jump at the chance surely to come home?

My thoughts too. Doubt it involves Maresca. I fucking hope not.
