with all 4 comps still to play for it would be madness not to pay what they want
i guess the only stumbling block will be his wages / signing on fee... with him being a free agent at the end of the season, he's going to want a massive package isn't he?

If he wants that then he will have to run his contract out. And risk an injury to scupper any move in the meantime
Or he takes what a club who are paying a not inconsiderate transfer fee offers and has the opportunity to win a pot or two this year

Not getting him is a serious failing from the sporting director and the relevant people involved - we are still one of the top clubs in world football with the best manager in the world - if we were serious I can't see him turning us down.
