England and Tuchel

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

England and Tuchel

Postby Wonderwall » Fri Oct 03, 2025 11:40 am

I honestly think that Tuchel is an awful football manager. I know he got the better of pep in the UCL somehow. However the man is a useless prick who plays the most boring football.

In his latest England squad he has left out Bellingham (prick but a great player), Foden (had great start to the season) and Grealish (also had a great start to the season).

He has however selected John Stones (FFS) who has only just come back from injury (1 game) and James Trafford ( who is not playing at all).

Don't get me wrong, I wish our players pulled "a Fergie" and feigned injury at every international break. Tuchel will not get anywhere near Southgates record of getting into the latter stages, we will be lucky to get out of the round of 16 of tournaments with him picking the team and the tactics

England squad in full
Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Jordan Pickford (Everton), James Trafford (Manchester City)

Defenders: Dan Burn (Newcastle United), Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace), Reece James (Chelsea), Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa), Myles Lewis-Skelly (Arsenal), Jarell Quansah (Bayer Leverkusen), Djed Spence (Tottenham Hotspur), John Stones (Manchester City)

Midfielders: Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest), Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest), Jordan Henderson (Brentford), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (AC Milan), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa)

Forwards: Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United), Eberechi Eze (Arsenal), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle United), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Marcus Rashford (Barcelona, loan from Manchester United), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)

That feels like a very pedestrian England side. Felt like you had a golden generation thing going on just a couple of years ago. Too bad (for you) that it was under Southgate.

Average oerformance against a very poor Welsh team.
Just a money generating exhibition friendly. No point to it really but 3 goals in first 20 mins ensured a snoresville match. Tuchel prepared to include Henderson and Rashford? WTF both are well past their shelve life and off nothing. Nice to see Stones taken off. He'll probabably report sick today

Yesterday evening , looked at other things. However , up popped the Agüero moment.

So i was wondering . Since it is all boring this week and little to do. When David Silva took the corner for Edin to score the equaliser. How many Corners had City taken in the game before Silva's ?

Haaland scores yet again for Norway. I don’t care for International football but it’d be a huge loss for the game if Norway and Haaland don’t play at the upcoming World Cup

He's scored in their last 9 games and in matches they've won, the last time he didn't score was in 2023.

2 pens... He missed and it was retaken and he missed again. Thank god he is an absolute animal that missing 2 penalties in the same game means fuckall.

A penalty miss is a sin never mind 2, if I can get a ball in small hole at the fair to win a mitre football a professional footballer should be able to hit either top corner meter squared every time, similar to wolfies at Newcastle last week,

Messi missed loads including one against us. Aguero did, David Silva took 1 and missed it, Kev missed them.
The only 2 you'd bet your mortgage on were Yaya and Mario

Know for a fact if Aguero would have gone down against QPR instead of scoring Mario would have missed one then
