Welcome Gigio Donnarumma

Done deal according to Romano.

Don't know what to say about this. Arguably the best gk in the world, young and still with a lot of years in front of him. Money grabbing cunt based on his history, but world class.

However, if he will be exposed like we seem to do that, it will not be any difference between him and a Championship keeper.

I think this shows we have no strategy as a club

Not just that, but we have Ortega on our books also. And why did we dragged on the Eddie situation for so long?

Agreed - but I think ed was number 1 this season and was our choice (which makes me even more nervous this transfer as it seems the club PREFER ed).

We arent sure on Trafford for year 1, but we're prepared to make the decision next summer. Ed going and Donna available means its an opportunity but not long term planning (we did have this all the time with messi)

Forgot about ortega. Will surely give him away today.

Trafford was a good move and he may be happy as an understudy but it'll be tough for him. He's at the point of being a steady number 1 and is future England No1.
By all accounts Donna is s bit of a nutter. Do we need all this drama. I'd rather have got a decent right back

Starting to wonder does Pep just randomly give the Club players names he wants to sign.

We sign Trafford for all intents and proposes he is being groomed as the new Number 1.

The lad starts the first 3 games.

Everson goes to Galatasaray.

Seemingly Donna is now going to the new number 1.

Traffford be like wtf

Ortega be like WTF

We have just lost 2 games to very average sides. The defence barely functions already with a combination of Pep OCD obsession with rotation to begin with.

Should have got him in weeks ago if he was a genuine target.

More likely Pep after Brighton game :

" Hello Hugo please go out and get me Donna i no longer want Trafford as my number 1,we need more possession in the team there is not enough Ball recycling going on defensively we play too fast,"

Why? Does Trafford have a devine right not to fight for his place?

Bit puzzled why we are paying a reported £30M for a guy with a year left on his contract and whom his present club, (PSG), have said isn't part of their plans. And it's hardly as if we've had to queue jump.

This has desperation stamped all over it

I think he played a blinder the other day and should be kept in goal till further notice .

Guehi cost more in the same situation and isbt considered one of the worlds best in his position.

Donna probably gets rid of the one shot one goal problem we have. Maybe the plan is to use him and Trafford depending on the opposition.

Maybe we'll 'flip' him and sell him for a profit next year once Trafford is more experienced.

Everything on here is just guess work and conjecture.

Eds head hasn't been in it for a while and rumours have persisted so maybe the powers that be thought it was better to get him out of the dressing room.

Donna isn't for me tbh and it's an odd one. But if he plays like he did for City like he did in the latter stages of the champions league last season sure he'll soon win us over

City to pay £26m for Donnarumma
Manchester City have finalised a £26m deal with PSG to sign Gianluca Donnarumma.

He has agreed a five-year deal plus the option of a further year.

City have also finished a deal with Fenerbahce to sell Ederson for around £12m.

We are going to regret this for a long time.

I honestly thought this had zero chance of happening when it was first mentioned, couldnt have been more wrong.

I have no clue what Peps doing here, goes against his principles fully. Maybe he will play him right back!

Have we got him or not?

Other clubs seem to have announced their deadline day signings. I know we usually do the PR stuff first but would be nice to know if we got him or not?

A matter of time now, big Ed's departure has been confirmed
