View from the Away End

I have mixed emotions about this game. I’m never confident against the Spuds, but this time no Son and its at the first game at home. Plus we have so many exciting players to look forward to...On the other hand they have a manager who may cause problems. At the end of the day, I think we will get the three points. I look forward to a post game Pride celebration in town afterwards .

Referee: Peter Bankes
Assistants: Eddie Smart, Blake Antrobus
Fourth official: Andrew Kitchen
VAR: Andy Madley
Assistant VAR: Sian Massey-Ellis

Team Selection

Richarlison - Kudus
Sarr - Bentancur - Palhinha
Udogie - VDV - Romero - Danso - Porro
Vicario

And the rest…

That Raindeers bloke looks fuck'n good tho eh.

Easy 3 points. COYS.

Lads, it's City.

They will try and suffocate and squeeze us. But we will be dangerous on break, set pieces and be very powerful. Quietly confident we can win this if we play our A game.

Shame kulusevski isnt fit for this game as normally has a good game against them. I dont want us to be extreme defensive for this game. Want us to be dangerous on the break and exploit how open they are at back when were in transition.

Performance is more important than the result at this moment in time. We do have a good record against them over the last few seasons mind, would be nice to keep that up.

Happy hunting ground for us...Frank has won there with Brentford.
What could possibly go wrong?

Let’s stuff the smug Manc Oilers!!

We've got a good record against them, so they will fear us. Will have to think of smart ways to get the ball forward though without some of that clever football on the pitch. Nobody thought we'd beat them last year.

Second half of last season they were still the best team in the league. They are levels above us. For instance...They are aiming to win the CL. Are we??

Will be interesting to see what we can do against them now we're without all the usual top performers against them (kane, son, maddison, kulu).

Our team just isn’t strong enough. Our new manager has been left short by the owners . It will be a comfortable Saturday afternoon for city.
3-0 loss

Won’t have enough to hurt them in possession or on the break so it’ll be a slog of sitting in hoping for some set pieces.

Rodri’s back.

Pep looks happy and confident. I don't like it. I don't like it at all.

They'll kick the shit out of us footballing wise for 20 minutes, we'll kick it long to Kudus who will dribble past 3 players, cross it and it'll deflect in off someone's arse, off the post, on to traffords face and bobble in.

4-0 City...A bunch of bang average, cheap shit players managed by non-league standard manager against Pep's dream team? ...Yeah, 4-0 City if we're lucky
