According to City Report he will be number 2 with Eddie set to stay as number 1
Briliant if true. Sold him for 17 mil to get him back for 40 just to be a backup.

It's 27m, City inserted a matching clause as well as buying back clause. Newcastle bid 27m so we matched it.

You're right - a year isn't long.
Seriously though it's up to him to prove he's worth the number 1 spot when he plays. Eddie got lots of little knocks last year but he's certainly not as bad as you're making out he is.
Likewise when Trafford plays let's hope he plays like his last 2 Championship seasons and not his PL one.

Eddie has got a few problems these days, the stupid rushing out of goal & wiping out the opponent has nearly cost us games, indeed we can count ourselves lucky he hasn’t had more red card. Also this distribution often puts our defenders under pressure, not the best under pressure from deep crosses into area, Trafford will be numero uno for Christmas, also when Trafford was in prem he had pub defenders in front of him.

He's always rushed out of goal crazily , it's not a recent thing. His distribution is fantastic, we notice the very odd poor one because it's so odd. I think he's very good with crosses personally unlike Ortega who was horrendous and Eddie had a few pub players in front of him last season, with no Rodri protection any keeper would have been exposed with the lack of legs in midfield.

Stolen from the Beeb.

" Better to get him while he is still young. They wouldn't want an old Trafford in goal, too leaky."

Not heard of a matching clause before. Did we also have a sell-on percentage? As that would come back to us, wonder if some part of the smaller price was just a sell-on reduction?
