Professional athletes that have access to free NAD+ drips and other similar stuff. They shouldn’t be moaning about fatigue just from two-three games a week!

Was talking about this with a mate of mine who used to play semi pro rugby. These days, football players at the highest level are desinged to perform for 90+ minutes and nothing more. You won't see many running marathons or doing endurance events. They are finely tuned and the slightest knock can lead to them being sidelined. With the increase in medical data, this is leading to medical teams having a say in the team selection. Im sure there are some on here who have played at a decent level on a Saturday and again sunday whilst holding down a full time job who will laugh at fatigue as much as I do - poor lambs

If they were on a pay per play deal they’d 100% be ready to go three times a week. Saying that, there’s players like Foden that would play five times a week I reckon.

Pep says the players were exhausted at the end of the match and I don’t think we can second guess him. If he wanted more control his substitutions were strange. Bobb would have been a better bet than Doku. Kevin isn’t a control sub either. He didn’t play well and Kovacic was doing well. People may criticise Haaland’s finishing but he holds the ball up well and would have been a long ball outlet to counter Bournemouth’s high press.

With Haaland - I wonder if his confidence has taken a knock RE: all the awards he was nominated for, and should have won, that were given to players like Messi.

Absolutely no way should Messi have won Balon d’Or. It was Haaland’s. I wonder if that’s knocked him a bit mentally?

He may have just found out we’ve paid £100m for Phillips and Nunes and it’s knocked him sick
